We stumbled across this place on a walk through St. Aidens, it was a pleasant surprise! Me and my partner both got a Brie and red onion chutney toastie. It was absolutely heavenly, the melted Brie was so creamy and delicious mixed with the sweetness of the chutney. Would definitely recommend!
This place is so much more than a pit stop on a long walk (Leeds to Cas Vegas for us). So many locals also visit, and it's clearly well loved. You can see why. Fab selection of sandwiches, drinks, and cookies the size of your head!! Lovely welcoming staff and the best oat milk latte I've ever had. Oh, and it's super dog friendly, so if you're not brace yourself.
I’ve been told about this hidden gem as a stop off from my dog walk from St Aidans. Quirky colloquial a must visit. Great bacon sarnie. I’ll be back with my pooch regularly.
The walk to it from St Aidans is perfect for humans and pooches. Strongly recommend a visit or two or more ????
Great little spot for food and coffee, very close the river. We had a bagle BLT and it was delicious. A few small tables right in front and also a garden area with more tables in the shade. No indoor seating but if you go in summer or good weather it's perfect. Also, very nice selection of cakes!
A lovely place to stop during a bike trail.
Plenty of space to sit and relax. Service was fast and the food was so delicious!
I went with some friends and here's what we got:
- Salmon and cream cheese bagel: my favorite ????
- Chorizo toast: delicious
- Falafel and hummus sandwich: a great surprise. Well made
We also got some cakes and coffees.
Prices are quite good for the amount of food you get. Definitely recommend give it a go! ????
Great little coffee shop/cafe behind St. Aidans. Staff are lovely, nice seating outside, great coffee and fantastic cakes. Also do breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
Out of the way, at the back of St Aiden's nature reserve, The Green House offers a variety of sandwiches, home baked goods treats and coffee to top you up after a walk or a trip out.
Pictured is a chunk of their flapjack and latte (Dark Woods Coffee). The coffee is well rounded and smooth.
I had a BLT, which was huge. 3 rashers of bacon with very little fat on it, sandwiched between layers of lettuce, beef tomatoes and mayonnaise with pepper for seasoning, it was exactly what was needed after a trek out. Simple, effective, tasty.
My girlfriend had a brie, onion and chutney toasties which she thoroughly enjoyed and said was excellent.
Super friendly staff, comfy outdoor area, flavoursome food and great value for money. You'd be hard pressed to find a reason not to return.
Nice sandwich but far too much cream cheese in the salmon bagel. If I'd been given a knife I could have scraped some off but the sandwich came in just a paper bag. Also the coffee would have been quite nice but far too milky for me and a bit weak. Next time I will be prepared and ask for not too much cream cheese on the sandwich and a strong coffee, not too milky.
