I got the lunch special which included a dirty dog (chili, onions and cheese), tator tots and a bottled drink. The toppings were good and the tator tots were the best but the hotdog itself was a bit disappointing, kind of mushy. It wasn't as good as the hotdogs at circle K. Saying that, I will go back to try the Chicago dog.
It's a cute little place with a Florida beach theme.
We went today and it was delicious. Will definitely be back. Everyone is so nice!
The Frozen Pelican in Melrose, Florida, is a hidden gem! Their smash burgers are some of the best and the Philly tots are the best I’ve ever had. This family-friendly spot serves ice cream, milkshakes, shaved ice, hot dogs, and more. The crispy French fries and tater tots are seasoned to perfection. Affordable kids meals! A must-visit! ????????????????
We love the frozen pelican! The whole menu is terrific. I've had hotdogs, Philly cheese Steaks, smash burgers and much more. My grands love the ice cream and shaved ice. A wonderful addition to Melrose. We look forward to many years of great food and service.
If you're anywhere near Melrose, you owe it to yourself to drop by The Frozen Pelican. It's a classic mom-n-pop comfort food lunch (& dinner) counter.
The shaved ice is great. The hot dog selection is terrific. The burgers are some of the best around. On top of all that, the service (i.e., the people) is just top-notch. Nothing disappoints.
I love this place! So glad Melrose has this option now. The best cheeseburger for miles around! So many hotdog combinations. So many flavors of ice cream and snow cones. Fresh squeezed homemade lemonade. Courteous service. Hoping y’all add a chicken sandwich and chuckwagon sandwich! Nobody has a chuckwagon lol—it’s a breaded beef patty served with mayo lettuce and tomato. They’re big in Kentucky.

Surprisingly cute inside, staff was very sweet, the nachos were piled high, and yummy. But I don’t recommend the shaved ice. We tried two different flavors and they both tasted like medicine.
