Tried going to this place today I was told it's serving drinks only. I believe it's no longer a restaurant and there phone number no longer works for you to call and them.
My food was great and the welcome and service even better...the 'Special Offer' at £12.95 (only at certain times, check the photo on the listing) was very good and included a starter and main. The staff were all wearing jackets, so perhaps they need to do something about that. I didn't feel cold sitting near the gas log fire feature, but seeing the staff on coats was a little disconcerting. Above all though, a good meal for the money.
Just had tasteless chicken korma chicken madras tasted like sauce was from a jar tasteless sag aloo undercooked NaN horrid little minced lamb dumplings unidentifiable mushroom Baji all swimming in sauce and not cheap best thing was the poppadom rice and mango chutney that had no chunks onion baji was ok and tasted like it had been restaurant cooked the other stuff I could have bought in Asda and it probably would have tasted better . I have called to complain and the nice guy on the phone promised I’d get a discount next time … shan’t be ordering … I asked if the food had been restaurant cooked he did not reply … good guess is no just heated up slop
I loved everything about this place. Indian style music & fireplace really sold it for me. Food was delicious too
I have tried this restaurant before and food used to be really good.
Yesterday I had a delivery and Aloo tikka was very oily. Curry sauce was watery
Really disappointed, not sure if they changed the chef.
This place gets three stars because it just doesn't have a cost or comfortable atmosphere. Getting the bad points done first, it's cold and drafty. The chairs are worn and not very comfortable and despite a decent floor plan size there's limited seating space. The food is expensive despite looking and tasting like reheated supermarket frozen food and the garden is overgrown and the outdoor space lacks shelter from the elements. The positive are a decent car park, good priced larger (£3.90 for a pint), a pool table and outdoor space offroad.
Used to drive by this place regularly and eventually got around to eating here a couple of years ago. Have been back many times since. Great food, friendly service and plenty of parking space.
We tried Saag Paneer, Tadka Daal and Naan there. I was not disappointed and it was quite close to authentic Indian food. Prices were a little higher though considering the location and the ambiance. Place looked very old. However, food made it up.
