You find a great crowd in the pup. Everyone greats you as you walk in and says goodbye when you leave. For those with dogs, biscuits are on the bar and they can’t get through the door quick enough!

Cosy village pub, roaring fire on a cold winter night. Good beer, nice atmosphere, friendly landlady.
Great little stop off. Staff brilliant and always a warm welcome awaits you. Customers are always happy and jolly too. Great atmosphere.
This Bar is for those wishing to have just a relaxing drink.
Fiona and I are remembered every time we visit along with our fav drinks and bar snack. (CHEESE & ONION CRISPS), when we leave the most satisfying thing about the experience every time is most of the bar say good night....wow for me
Visited for a birthday party in the garden on a Sunday afternoon, really helpful and friendly staff. The bar area was busy with a good atmosphere and friendly locals with some good banter. The food provided for the party was traditional buffet fare but really nice. Only downside I could see was accessibility of the garden to persons with limited mobility, there may be alternative access so worth checking out if required.

The perfect example of a friendly pub. I hesitate to say 'old fashioned' because it doesn't feel like it does it justice with the original style bar, log fire and the great punters who I feel like were all next door neighbours given how welcoming they are. The real value of this pub though is the staff. Chatty, efficient, polite, always smiling and certainly go the extra mile for no reward other than to be kind to their customers. If you haven't been yet just go and enjoy this rare example of a flawless traditional pub.
Great little country pub. Lovely fresh real ales and good selection. Landlady knows her stuff about keeping people happy.. Can't wait for my next visit. ????????
