Love this pub, plenty of room indoors and out, good fresh food and lovely staff. Live band when we were there, very good.
Very good service and food since the change of ownership and move to a family pub. Still a little bit quiet but I'm sure it will start to get busier as it's only been open again for a month or so. Very friendly staff, will definitely be visiting it often as it is one of our locals.
I don't enjoy giving negative feedback especilly when it's in relation to a place that has opened recently and where a bad review might impact the business. However, this meal was so bad I feel a duty to forewarn you - avoid this place at all costs (unless you want a pint, which is about the only thing they didn't manage to do badly).
The burgers were appalling (greasy, thin and cheap), the buns still frozen or stale, the garlic bread was made with the most budget baguette, the mussels upset our stomachs, the calamari were actually onion rings and the chips dry and cold. Cheap ingredients poorly assembled.
The food wasn't the only problem. The two men working the bar / pub were gruff and lacked any customer service skills. They're clearly new to the customer service industry but their manner when dealing with a complaint was inexcusable. Although the food was changed, no apology was given and it was made quite clear that the complaint (a stone cold burger and stale bun) was frivolous.
In addition, the microwave clearly struggled with a large group of people.
The fact that when you Google the pub it comes up with 'NO LONGER A CHINESE' tells you everything. If only it still was a Chinese. There's no way the Chinese could be worse than this pub.

Recently had an overhaul, now a brilliant place to be. Nice staff, good drinks, good service, and a very cosy atmosphere. Definitely recommend, much better in new hands than the old owners.
Went for the all you can eat buffet on Sunday. Alarm bells rang when they told us we could eat as much as we wanted on 1 condition, we finish all of our dishes before ordering more. The first course we ordered was BBQ spare ribs which were practically inedible as they where rancid and dry and had barely any meat on them. Atmosphere was awful and as we continued to order food it kept getting worse. Had to leave before desserts because we were concerned for our health.
A great local pub. Good food and entertainment at weekends. Now under new ownership. Large bar with with seperate dining area. Also a games room with a second bar and a function room. Highly recommended.
Nice pub, reasonable food.
When they have evening entertainment it's a fantastic place to be! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
