Update- I went again for Brunch, wow still a vibe. The food was much better, the service was still good, and the Dj was killing it.
I went for the brunch party and what a party it was, the music was good, a mix of old school rnb, reggaeton& hiphop. The drinks are good, the food was ok, could have been better but they make up for it with the service. They have a swing table, I had to try, I will be back to try something else on the menu, but I would definitely be back.
Overpriced for what the experience actually is. They have a prix fixe menu for their Sunday brunch, and it’s pretty limited. I got the salmon braseado and while it was good, the salmon was way too overdone. It was so firm I couldn’t cut it with my fork, when usually it would fall apart when cooked properly. The cilantro rice and spinach it came with were really good. Their French fries were super salty. The group I was with got the margarita and mimosa towers, which I’d say are a complete waste of money. The mimosa one is $55 and the margarita one is $80. I felt like there was more liquor in the drinks I ordered directly from the bar. Also 2 shots of Casamigos cost me $25.
I was so excited to bring my friend here for his birthday. When we got there, the decor was nice, the DJ was amazing, and the music was on point. I was disappointed with the limited menu, and the music is so loud that you can’t even conversate while eating brunch. The music could go down a little bit and still be enjoyable. I was highly disappointed when a heavy set man came to our table to sell us vapes….and one of them was broken! He would not reimburse us or replace the vape. Instead, they looked at us like we were crazy cause we were drunk. Drunk or sober - right is right and wrong is wrong. If he sells you a vape, test it in front of him before paying him. Cause he will scam you. Shame on them for even allowing this to happen. Never again though. I hope the $25 was worth the embarrassment cause I was highly disgusted with how he treated us!!!!
Today was my first visit to The Forbidden Llama. When I walked in I can say I was pleased with the set up, decor and the Dj was great.
I was disappointed with the limited menu as I looked for the menu online before coming to the restaurant and it wasn'tthe same as what was offered during my visit. The food I would rate a 3 out of 10. The portions were small and it could use more flavor. The drinks a 6 out of 10.
If your looking for a good place for drinks, music and photos go for it but food wise they need more work
I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, other people that I know have gone and had a good experience. The whole time that we were there, we had to fight for waitresses to help us. I would’ve spent more money, but no one was around for us to order more. They gave free shots to every single table around but ours. They gave raffle tickets to every table but ours. Our tables was mixed black and white. Seems to be a trend they don’t want to serve others.
The vibe in this restaurant was welcoming and the decor was so nice. We didn’t have a reservation and Mauricio not sure if I’m pronouncing that probably. He was so kind and accommodating. We had to wait a few minutes, which was to be expected without a reservation, but got seated in no time. Jennifer was on point as our waitress. Very efficient. She made sure we had everything that we needed and gave great suggestions. Let me tell you the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone absolutely enjoyed their meal. Let me tell you the vaccine drink definitely was my favorite. The calamari was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Definitely recommend this establishment you will not be disappointed.
I was so excited to finally get to try this location because it was so hyped on IG. The DJ was KILLING it with the music, I think to make up for the slow and rude service. The only negative with the DJ was that the music was so loud, you had to scream to the people you were with. I went with a mixed group of friends (non-latino) and it was as if we weren’t there. We had to keep flagging the waitress down for service because she was practically ignoring us and we also noticed that free shots and raffle tickets were given out to every other table BUT ours. We were beyond disgusted. Extremely disrespectful and rude. If you are not Latino, I wouldn’t visit this establishment as you will be treated poorly. If I could give them 0 stars based on the way they treated us, I would.
PERFECT spot to go and hang out with friends. The vibes are immaculate and it’s also perfectly decorated for your next Instagram post.
Now, the menu – it's like a love letter to your taste buds. We're talking farm-to-table freshness that you can taste in every bite. The chefs are all about seasonal flavors, so there's always something new and exciting to try. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty, rustic dish or something light and zesty, they've got you covered.
The staff? Super friendly and genuinely care about your experience. They're quick with recommendations, and they have this knack for making you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in.
And let's not forget about the desserts – they're absolutely to die for. You'll definitely want to save room for a sweet treat because skipping dessert here should be a culinary crime!
Overall, it's the kind of place where you can unwind, indulge, and leave feeling like you've just been treated to more than just a meal – it's a whole experience. Make your reservations ASAP????
