I was looking for a quiet and friendly pub for a family catchup and was pleased to have found The Five Bells. It's cosy, warm and very welcoming and from speaking with one of the staff it is very well used by the locals. Although this is very well frequented by locals, they get a lot of walkers and cyclists dropping in for a toilet break and drinks and as someone who is not local I can confirm anyone is welcome here.
Longterm landlord always very pleasant. Great selection of ales. A great out of the way place to visit with friendly locals. Good pub food. Everything one wants from a country pub.

A wonderful pub led by the lovely Joan and her lovely daughter. Great community feel, friendly and welcoming. We were camping locally near billingshurst and there were no taxis available so Joan gave us a lift back to the campsite. Just a lovely kind gesture that three middle-aged men very much appreciated. Freehold pub as well so have a good selection of beers!
Fabulous pub. Good range of ales, including Mild! Couple of unusual foreign lagers, that are popular apparently. Had Sunday lunch on last visit, which was superb. Very friendly landlord.
