A very convenient and quick place to get good quality food and snacks on a long stretch of country road with few shops. You can buy free range eggs here. There's a coffee machine and a vending machine for crisps, cans and chocolate bars. They also have ready meals such as chicken curry and beef lasagne and light meals, such as sausage rolls and scotch eggs. It's all good farm shop produce.
I struggled with the ready-meal vending machine, but then I read the instructions on the wall. They say to ignore what it says on the card reader. All you have to do is press the green button to get started and then pull the door slightly to select and then present your card to the reader. Then the door opens and you can get the food out.
It's a bit tight for parking, but you are likely to be in and out quickly, especially after you master the vending machines. I can't say I've ever seen an entirely self-service farm shop before, so it was quite a curiosity.
Such a handy and nice ittle place, really nice local products & best eggs I've tasted. Get sent here by the family to buy theirs too!! Can highly recommend the brownies which have made me a gain a few pounds but their hard to resist & the oaty biscuits are really yummy, perfect with a coffee. So lucky to have this on our doorstep.
Love to stop here on the way back from leominster. But they were completely out of eggs today. Hope everything is OK with the business, it's such a great idea
What an amazing find! I will be using this when in the area next week for holiday. Nothing like fresh farm goods available anytime of day or night.
Often stop off here to buy a items: snacks, eggs, sausages, pies, desserts, and more. All locally made and great quality. Its just vending machines, but it's open 7x24x52. Worth a visit if your in the area.
The tastiest big eggs I’ve ever known, I would never buy from the supermarkets again. You can sometimes get big double yolkers too and all for excellent value from chickens only just over the hill!
I live in Burton-On-Trent and pass by and stop in my Hgv, early in the morning’s.
Always now buy a tenners worth, because these are amazing for cakes and omelettes, best XL eggs and cheap.
We have now lost count of the double Yorkers we have had!!!
Brilliant egg vending machine. Lovely eggs and good prices. Lots of other produce to choose from too and a drinks machine.
