Wonderful quality baking ,superb breads and cakes to die for .

Word of advise go early as they sell out fast later on

Such a great place to visit. A wide range of vegan products are on sale here, as well as hot drinks and cakes - the vegan chocolate cake is especially delicious! We were too late to buy any bread - they’d sold out, but did have some frozen loafs on offer. If you’re passing by, you should definitely drop in.

This bakery is a great addition to Castle Douglas! The staff are friendly and helpful, the place is spacious with an indoor sitting area at the side and the food is awesome. Come early for the freshly baked bread and they do run out pretty quickly too! They also serve delicious quiche, cakes, pizza slices etc with hot and cold drinks. Tried the quiche and plum cake and definite thumbs up. There is also a small area selling items like marmalade, chili jams, etc. Decor of the cafe is a bit quirky.. not quite homely/cosy but it's nice and clean. Definitely worth a visit!

However. The woman who served me was so rude it bordered on disrespectful.

I've worked in hospitality. I know keeping up a cheery demeanor is arduous at times, but it's not hard to be polite.

The gentleman who brought the coffee was very pleasant though.

A magical little spot tucked away in Castle Douglas. Lots to choose from - breads, pastry and savoury bakes. All wonderful and freshly baked. The cinnamon danish made our morning ???? fresh milk and great coffee too. Worth a visit if you like really good baking!

I have read some really good reviews on here but unfortunately my experience of this bakery was not a good one.

Stopped in here on Friday en route to Kirkcudbright and after buying some quality meats and chorizo in a local deli, they recommended I came here for bread,

. Not a very warm welcome to start with but it was late on in the day so perhaps the staff were tired.

Bought a baguette which looked good but when we went to eat it, the inside looked like and felt like a normal UK style bread, all right and doughy. Not the lovely light and open texture I was looking for. Disappointed.
