A lovely find. A very comfortable and quiet stay as a solo traveller. I was there for 3 nights just after they had re-opened and they were friendly, helpful and the room was clean, warm and comfortable. Always a fan of white cotton bedding! Great location in central Beer, yet quiet at night, which is really important to me! Thankyou, I wish you every success for this coming season.
Exceptional good value for money!! Stayed here again with a bike friend and had a warm friendly welcome, room was warm, well equipped and enjoyed a good nights sleep. The breakfast was perfect with plenty of choices and safe parking at the venue was a bonus. Can highly recommend staying.
Walls of napped black flint. Historic inn. Recommended. Picturesque village with 2 art galleries of note.
A Great value for money hotel right at Beer. We had to park in the town parking at rear as our rental was too big for the on-site parking. Food was great and couldn't be faulted, we had breakfast in the morning with room numbers on the tables to make it easy to find first up. The rooms weren't extravagant but definitely served the purpose for a little rest in this peaceful town.
Disappointing to see the dolphin shut up during the festive season think this is a missed opportunity as the village of Beer is busy with people on winter breaks and visits to family. Will be hard to encourage people to come back, hopefully not closed for good?
Arrived at the Dolphin, managed to get a room as the same price Booking. Com offers, knowing that Booking. Com takes 15%off.|So they could of priced us a room at 10% off. But that isn't really a problem just an observation.|Room is very dated and bed extremely uncomfortable. We were quite cold and the rain streamed in through the windows somehow keeping us awake , so this will need maintaining for their own sake. However the bar area is pleasant enough.|Breakfast was basic. Mushrooms raw!! Staff pleasant enough.!
Lovely little place with its own carpark, service at breakfast was excellent with the tables clearly marked with your room number. Nice bright clean room with plenty of tea and coffee supplies on hand plus a nice packet of biscuits as a bonus. Super value for money as it was £100 for 2 nights including breakfast & parking
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was nice , but dusty . The bed and bedding was clean . Could of done with a couple more electric sockets due to having to charge electronic devices. But understood we were stopping in the old part of the hotel. The food in the evening was faultless, very enjoyable. The same goes for breakfast. Beer is a beautiful, quaint fishing village, not commercialised at all , which made a refreshing change. Would definitely visit again
