Best KPortal Reviews

Drove over an hour to get here for Mothers day. It was obviously busy because of the holiday and was expecting to be patient. We had a party of 8. Our waiter was very friendly but obviously overwhelmed. After our drink order finally arrived, the waiter accidentally dumped the entire drink tray on one of our guests.
She was soaked. It probably took 45 minutes to receive our food and were one of the last guests left. Oh, and totally forgot one guests order so she had to wait an additional 15 minutes to get hers. We got our bill and was never even approached by a manager for the guest being soaked, and the delay and mix up in our order. Just a bill that already included a 20% tip that was definitely not earned. Not even a small discount for the guest covered in everyone's drinks. Food, and atmosphere we're good, but customer service was lacking greatly.
MANDATORY 20% TIP!!! (for “the house” and doesn’t include actually tipping the server). The food was pretty decent, the price for the quality of food however was not emulated. I ordered a $17 dollar chicken sandwich and it was the thinnest fillet with 2 small pickles. The meal came with sweet potato fries but I replaced it with regular fries and was charged 2 extra dollars. I mean, it sort of makes sense but on the side menu the price of sweet potato fries is higher than regular fries so that was pretty jank of them. They were pretty stingy with the proportions and two meals ended up being 60 dollars because of the mandatory tip and high prices for small proportion meals. The fries were good though.
Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had. Had to wait 35 after reservation time to be seated. Then waited 20 min before anyone took our order. The food arrived in a reasonable time time but 10 minutes before drinks. Every interaction we had, WE had to hunt down a staff member. No one ever approached us with any semblance of service. Food was delicious. Props to the kitchen! When the server “brought” the check, she just simply recited the items we ordered and what I thought was a total that seemed appropriate. She didn’t present a bill so I didn’t see the itemized amounts. I tapped the card, added a tip and then it hit me that the total didn’t make sense for what we ordered. When asked for an itemized bill, the hostess provided one. They had overcharged us by $8. When called out on it, they corrected it but not without any apologies or any attempt to keep my business. Overall, I rate the experience a 1/10, solely because the food was good. I will never be back and I caution all of you to ask for a paper bill and double check the math.
Dined here on a Saturday night after the basketball game. There were about 20 people in the establishment with 4 people working the floor. While I had no complaints (or accolades) about the food (had the black bean tacos and a virgin mojito), the service was simply awful. If you go, be sure to sit at the bar as you will get little attention at the tables. And what really surprised me was the mandatory 20% service charge added to each check, regardless of the party size. I witnessed a couple who sat at the tables and had to get up and walk to the bar to get their drinks, which were sitting at the bar well for 10 minutes. HEY OWNER, tips are not an entitlement. They are EARNED. Also, Florida law considers mandatory service charges to be the property of the employer, not the staff. Are you sharing the mandatory service charges with your employees? Probably can't (according to Revenue Ruling 2012-18) if you have tip pooling. Also, I didn't see disclosure of the mandatory service charge on your web site menu, which is exposing you to a FLSA lawsuit. So, please get it together. If you're going to institute a mandatory service charge, at least ensure that you hire folks who are motivated to provide good service. Otherwise, it feels like greed and deception. I would not recommend this place.
20% mandatory tip for a single person? I was surprised as usually restaurants apply this on large groups. As far as food, the shrimp and grits were one of the best I've had in Orlando. The next place for me has been in Savannah GA. The truffle fries were good too. Bathroom was clean. I sat at the bar and service was good. Knocked off one star for the 20% mandatory tip but maybe it's necessary in the area it's in?
The rib grilled cheese was awesome, so were the truffle fries.
The truffle mac side was nice and hot and fresh, but it could really use more flavor.
They have High Noons which is nice.
Our waitress was nice and all too, but she didn't tell us it was a 3.75 upcharge from regular fries to truffle tries.
And despite all of us paying separate, because we were a large party (9), there was an automatic 20% service charge, otherwise i would've taken 3.75 out of the tip :/
The good was good at this restaurant. We had Mia as our server and she was able to handle a large party of 19. However the kitchen kept getting our orders wrong bringing out the wrong items. But the Loster Mac & Cheese was good, shrimp tacos were good and there wings and gator bits were good.
We went here for the first time before a basketball game and absolutely loved it.
Has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat. The service has always been excellent, the food is so good. The gator bites, catfish bites, also fish tacos… we have not had anything we did not like. You won’t be disappointed!!! People around us even taking about how good it is!
