Small local diner. Greeted upon entry and seated immediately. Friendly little place. I had bacon, egg and cheese burger (without cheese), on TX toast. Burger came out looking good. Although the bacon was hidden or almost non existent, 1 slice cut in half for a 1/4 pound Patty. Patties were hand pressed, but did not have any seasoning. Egg was as ordered, over easy. Everything was put together well and was not messy as other people make theirs with eggs.
From a burger afficionado, its a good place to have if you want a real burger and not the cheap fast food stuff. But there is the line. It's not the best tasting due to being bland.
Seasoned curly fries were same as what you get from Arby's. Ordered tater tots for my dog. Tried one before leaving and Im sure she will love them
Fried mushrooms, although store bought, were big and juicy, while being very crispy on the outside.
The coffee was good and restrooms were cleaned.
Also a huge benefit they have truck parking available in a town that doesn't have much.
I will be back through one day.
The food here was rather unique. Nice vintage diner feel. The Vegetable Basket is a must have. Food here is well prepared and the owner was very friendly and never let your glass get empty. Had the hot ham and cheese and it was made with real slice of ham shoulder not processed meat. This place was a nice hidden gem
The food was great and I was happy to see that they make things from scratch.....for real. The mashed potatoes and gravy were not out of a box as you find almost everywhere. They had a regular kitchen stove that they were cooking grim. Very genuine home cooking and great service.
A no doubt in my mind 5 star. First time there and ordered Frisco burger daily special. Then looked at the menu and wished I hadn't. Then got the Frisco burger and was glad I did! I'll stay hungry till I get to Alpena next time I'm driving that way! Good stuff????????????
When we decided to move to the area, believe it or not this diner played a role in it. We travel a lot and have moved a lot due to military. But we love small town diners where the food is good, it feels cozy and welcoming and the people are great..this was just that! Before moving here we stopped at this diner and fell in love with it. (: it's clean, food is good family cooking, affordably priced and the owners are welcoming. I'm so in love with the Christian atmosphere..not because I'm a super churchy person (because I'm not) but because these owners haven't lost site of what they want as a business and for their business. Recent politics haven't made them afraid to display the things they want to..and that is something you just don't see anymore! After you have been there a few times the fellow customers become more like family. So you have good clean atmosphere, great affordable food, good people, What more could you want in a diner?(:
Great, fast, and friendly service every single time. The food is amazing with great prices. $10 can easily get you a burger, fries, and a drink with a couple bucks left over for ice cream!
Good food and very friendly service I eat here once a week.
Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Great ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and toast. I couldn't believe it under$5 and great service too.
