My experience with the Den was great! The owner and his daughter are wonderful! Both were very friendly and very accommodating, especially Yellow. She is such a sweetheart. Also very talented and knowledgeable. She really was attentive to me and all my needs and wants. She even so lovingly took the time to wash my hair after cutting me! I look forward to returning and have her cut and actually style my hair because I wear finger coils. I highly recommend this place!
Cannot recommend this place enough. Great atmosphere, talented barbers, and thorough explanation of the haircut after I was done. Lots of time and energy put into each client I saw go through the chairs before me. Big bonus was hanging out with the barbershop dog while I waited. Easy 5 stars.
Great atmosphere, great cut, and the barber was super down to earth. First time coming here and I throughly enjoyed myself and will be coming back. Highly recommend The Den if you’re looking for a laid back local barbershop!
I live out of state in NC and I'm here working in Cedar Rapids. My beard was a wreck and my guy Dee HOOKED ME UP! Absolutely enjoyed listening to the music and having good conversation as well as my new trim and shave! I CANNOT recommend this place enough. I read ALLLLL the reviews for the other barber shops in the area and they weren't that great. The Den...it's where it's at!! Thanks for fresh new look D, I appreciate y'all!!!
It's been about a year since I've cut my hair. I was looking for a trim to keep my ends healthy and needed someone to clean them up. I prefer if it's cut with the natural V taper that it grows in and in the past have asked for that and it came out cut straight across. Yellow did a fantastic job cutting it exactly how I wanted it. She took off just enough to clean up the ends but not too much of the length. It's tapered beautifully and it works well with my natural curls.
On top of the mad skills, I felt welcome from the first moment I walked in the door by Dee and Yellow. The energy of the shop is amazing and the quality is top notch.
I won't be going anywhere else for my cuts.

Tried a lot of places in Cedar Rapids over the last 2 years !! My beard looked like a chia tree all poofy . Not not person could thin it out but they did !!! I have a new place to go now and shape it it looks awesome. They did a great job on my dad to. Thank you and we’ll be back !!!!
I’ve been getting my haircut in Cedar Eapids for about 20 years. I’m really happy I discovered the Den. The barbers that work there are really experienced and masters of their craft..it’s like they take extra care of the clients and that makes them stand out from the others. For all of your grooming needs, the Den I highly recommend
