Best KPortal Reviews

Me and my wife came in tonight for a valentines meal. We both fully enjoyed the starters and mains and pudding. It was absolutely lovely. We will definitely be going back to the crown again. Excellent service too.
Buffet and hospitality was fantastic
Pub staff and landlady was friendly very welcoming, see you soon x
At live music event. Great time. Lounge stuffed full. Plenty of atmosphere. Run out of Morreti. Arghhh. Like pubs of old, you gotta like standing up ! Very friendly. Clean toilets. Very European though as gents door wedged open , so you can wave at public passing in corridor. Decent carpark area. Satnav will take you down some interesting 3rd world lanes . Had some great music sessions here. Best get here early to get seats. Have covered areas outside but today rain stops play.
March 2024 paid a return visit. Gents loos sorted now and look in decent shape. Lounge bar has now lost it's sofas and some seats. Full of tables as they now serve food which people speak well off. Still a good village pub , well supported. Sat nav will lead you down a dead end road. On main road through village but on a dark rainy night you can drive past ( twice !! ). Could benefit a lit sign please. Yep, on a music night you're still standing if arriving late. Staff very friendly and helpful in trying to get people stools etc. Well run pub and will go again.
Hopefully food service begins this week then it'll be 5 stars all round !!!!
Lovely little "proper pub". Great selection of cask ales and very welcoming service. Just experienced a special tapas night where literally every dish was outstanding. Must bode well for the usual menu. Recommended.
We have just had a good value home cooked Carvery Sunday lunch at the Crown. 1 course £9.95 - 3 courses for £14.95. Really big starters and desserts. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We will most certainly be back when we are next in the area.
Spotted this nice looking pub a few days ago. Called in with the wife for a drink and a meal for the wife. Ordered 1 fish and chips, 1 pint of beer and 1 pint of cider. Charged £17.35.
When I queried this I was told the fish and chips were £8.95 not £7.95 as shown on the board. Reason.....£7.95 is takeaway price. Wasn't told that an extra pound for sitting in.
That still left over £8 for two drinks.
Fish and chips were poor being tasteless. A great pity as the pub looks inviting, but I consider Ive been stung once and won't go here again.
Lovely beer, food and atmosphere. What more could you want.
