Lovely cooked, tasty meals at very good value. Gammon cooked very well with home made chips and lots of accompaniments. Excellent. My wife's burger was also excellent. We will visit again. All washed down with a great cask ale.
A lovely find. A warm welcome, delicious food, lovely friendly staff. Nothing to much trouble. Meal was well presented. The chips were amazing. It’s dog friendly which is a plus. Thank you Rebecca.
What a great traditional pub this is! Cask ales served to perfection and ample room for dining and casual drinks alike. You can choose from a traditional pub bar side room, or the more modern dining area. We had the homemade pies, which were delicious - clean plates all round! Would highly recommend! Fairly priced too and very friendly, welcoming staff.
Lovely staff and lovely food. We go to a lot of pubs and we thought we’d call in to see what it’s like. We got a warm welcome from the staff and seated and served quickly. Service was good and the food was lovely and homemade, they catered to my needs of being a picky eater and nothing was too much trouble for them! Definitely be coming back and eating here again. They’re also dog friendly which helps as our dog can come with us ???? thank you! x

What can I say the boar scotch egg for starters was amazing. A big well done to the chef. ????

Had the turkey dinner, the Yorkshire pudding was lovely really enjoyed that, it was well presented the roast potatoes weren’t nice tasted deep fried. The lasagne needed more pasta layers as only one layer of pasta but was told tasted nice. Apple crumble was a let down more like a bowl of stewed apples with a dusting of crumble but again tasted good so mixed bag really. And the pub was so cold not sure if they had a problem with the heating but it was very cold everyone was eating with coats on. Staff were nice and friendly and prices not too bad. Would we go back yes probably
We visited The Crown on 23rd November to celebrate my daughter’s graduation and family birthdays. We had a wonderful evening, the atmosphere was great the food was fantastic and the service was second to none. From booking to leaving on the night the staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
We wish the new tenants the best of luck, but I’m sure they won’t need it if our experience was anything to go by x
