The quality & choice of beers at this microbar is consistently superb. Such a great little pub and so friendly; cheap as chips as well. The cheese & meat platters look good value if you fancy a bar snack.
After a very wet walk we discovered this little gem, great atmosphere, food looked good and great selection of beers. All reasonably priced.
Great micro pub. Some good ales and foreign beers. Lovely girl serving. Only small but definitely worth a visit.
Menu is only a cheese or meat platter. Or a combined of both at a discount. Excellent quality at a great price.
Always four great real ales, following the War of the ???? Roses, with the odd cheeky Cumbria sidewinder thrown in
Small bar towards the southern end of the main shopping street, 3 cask & 4 craft keg on tap, didn't try the craft but had a pint or two of First Chop IPA (unfiltered) & it was excellent, reasonable prices too. Its only a small bar so space is limited & if its raining, there's unlikely to be much room inside, that said if it's a fine day theres a broad path so there's plenty of room with tables & chairs outside. Hard to judge after just one visit, but on this showing it has plenty of promise. Friendly staff & a good selection of beers for such a small bar, oh, served a full pint every time too. Recommended.

Went in for the first time. We were tourists and felt totally as if we weren’t wanted there. The seat we choose was obviously a locals designed choice. The bar man and this local made us feel uncomfortable as they needed to be together for the purpose of organising their bets. No regard for our personal space. They couldn’t wait till we left to get us out of the way. We will not be back. There is better establishment than this and in view of the fact that most places were fairly empty at the time I feel they should be encouraged people in Not just locals. . I will say though in its favour that the price was reasonable
