Stopped in here for lunch on a day of relentless rain. Had a chicken bacon and leek pie with the home made chips and gravy. The BEST meal we’ve had out in a while and the most delicious pies. Also bought some to take away; roast chicken, pork and cider and steak and ale. Again these were all delicious!
Delicious! Stopped in here on a cold day and these hot pies are exactly what we needed. I got the steak and ale pie, my husband got the steak pasty. Both were amazing and their home-made chips were the best we've ever had. My husband ordered a local beer and really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and the jolly atmosphere resonated with all the customers. I've never been to a restaurant where a whole roomful of strangers are conversing with each other like we're all friends. Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Amazing evening with these guys. Excellent service, friendly staff and delicious food. Would highly recommend to visitors for something relaxed and a little bit different. Scotch eggs and Brie were so so good!!! We also had pies and burgers which were really tasty and the desserts were awesome! Very reasonably priced too!
Great pies and fries, unlimited gravy, huge portions that make it good value for money, and amazing specials. I just had the best taco of my life!
The best pie I have ever had! went for the ham hock and leek and wasn't disappointed. My partner had meat and potato and loved hers too.
We ordered some to take home but they needed to make one up. This was no problem and I saw the pie made from scratch there and then and cooked.
None of the pies are frozen and amazing quality.

Tasty enough but Vegan Roast Veg pie was mostly stuffing, and the portion of chips was paltry (see pic), considering they cost £4!
We got our food to takeaway, but for some reason they put our pies in bags, with the gravy in a separate cup. Quite what they expected us to do with it is beyond me; pour it into the bag?? Daft.
