First visit and will definitely return, food and service is first class, beautiful views overlooking the beach and sea, my son had the hot seafood platter he said it was wonderful, I had a Waldorf salad with added chargrilled chicken on the top, lots of walnuts and grapes I also had a passion fruit mock tail with a shot of lemonade I loved it, they have a very wide menu to suit everyone including jacket potato and sandwiches
Took my mum for afternoon tea for mothers day.
Food was lovely. Perfect portions, lovely selection and so dainty.
It was a really busy day (as you can imagine) but all the staff were so lovely and friendly.
Took a little while to get served drinks, but was to be expected.
The room was lovely and we had nice seats and were not rushed to leave.
Would definitely recommend a visit.
Would have been fab if they had any food left we stayed there too in hotel
no meats, no gammon, no desserts .ended up fish chips and burger booked table 7.30 food arrived 9.15 kids bored to death
Same as breakfast, no food out was supposed to be a buffet breakfast but no eggs, no mushrooms or bacon or couisants.
Come on guys, cater for your guests. we all knew it was a bank holiday
Annoyingly half the menu was unavailable, and we weren't told until we tried to order. No mention when we arrived, or when we ordered drinks. The food that was available was okay? Not great but not bad - more pub grub than restaurant.
The vegan burguer was delicious! Unfortenatelly the non-alcoholic pinacolada was not what I expected as I could not taste coconut at all. But the place is beautiful, the service is 5* and I will be here again for sure! ☺️
The belly pork roast was fantastic, unfortunately my wife's beef was over cooked. The server didn't listen to our order properly, the banoffee cake didn't have much flavour and the dried banana chips tasted of roasted garlic.
Walked in mid week just before lunch and got a table without fuss, but it did begin to fill as local workers came in for their lunch breaks.
In the warmer months or days, the outside seating area is a lovely place to eat overlooking the Gorleston promenade depending on the tables you choose but wherever you sit, it's very contemporary and pleasant. We chose to sit inside on this occasion in the bar area which is as light as being outside.
Staff were great on my visit and I ordered fish finger sandwiches. I thought it was going to be a small snack but arrived as a full blown meal. That suited me fine and it was delicious.
Our small group eagerly looked forward to this dining experience at what was a very popular hotel. We were found a nice table on the main terrace. Starters were enjoyed by all. However, my main course was dry and lacking a sauce, a couple of my colleagues tried a little and agreed that was not right. Our waitress, a very pleasant young lady, who had been very attentive up to then, wasn't around and didn't check to see if our meals were OK.
They were busy!
I left my meal almost complete. When she did finally come to collect our plates, see saw my full plate and defensively started to tell me that I was wrong! A customer!
Considering that we were going to be very appreciative of the service. That changed. I will probably return by with less enthusiasm
