What to say about The Captains table.
Overall a pretty good place.
The food is nice and big enough. Service was friendly and fast.
They have a small play area in the corner.
Found this place by accident while looking for somewhere to have breakfast and we weren't disappointed. The breakfast we chose had sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, grilled tomato, beans, herby potatoes and toast. Under a tenner.
There was plenty of it and we couldn't eat it all! Food was cooked well and it arrived hot.
Excellent value for money. Brilliant service.
We were served by a lovely helpful lady that gave us some good information on where to visit.
Delicious fish and chips and best dish is homemade spaghetti.???? My nephew usually cannot finish the whole plate even for kids menu size dishes but he did finish all. Inside of restaurant there’s a toys’s section for little kids. You can walk along the beach or around the lake after mealtime. Staff is friendly and it’s not very strict on tip like eating out in USA. Nice to stop for lunch, before exploring the charming Isle of Wight.
The toast was good the rest of the breakfast was swimming in grease. All deep fried so therefore would not recommend. We were charged £1.50 for a plain un buttered roll to accompany breakfast which seemed excessive for a multipack burger roll. The portion size was excellent but the food really needs to be drained well before plating up.
A nice cafe by the beach and lake. Had a lovely cooked breakfast and kids had waffles. Very welcoming. Can't help but think the paper plates, whilst advertised as sustainable, they would just be better with proper crockery/plates as it detracts from the quality of the food.
On a rainy day, a bright gem in Ryde.
Great service and great food.
Very reasonably priced Ava shall okay area for children 5 and under.
Took the little ones here after fun swimming. Good value and the chicken nuggets were delicious. Kids rated it 10/10! Ice cream good value as well.
Alot to wish for from hygiene and facility point of view, toilet seat broken (they did apologized with messaged above it but it only takes 10 min to instal new one, it probably wouldn't be more than 10£ to fix it), sink in the toilet just hanging of the wall (health&safety?) and the tiles on the floor were about 5 cm away from the wall. Baby changing unit in the coner of the cafe was ripped and dirty, just next to table, lucky no-one was changing dirty nappy while we were there. Table smelling of chlorine (staff used cleaning spray with bleach-not very nice smell when you about to eat something). Beside all of that food was not bad, chips a little bit undercooked and salad dry - not dressed but the cod was amazing- cooked to protection, best fish I had in long time. Aww.. and could do with decafe option for coffe and tea
