What a brilliant little pub! If you have an occasion please do consider contacting the lovely staff at the boar! We had a family party following our daughters christening service (the rook house provided an amazing buffet and wonderful staff too but that’s another review) the room was ample in size, extremely reasonably priced and had its own entrance away from the pub not that it mattered just meant we didn’t disturb the locals coming in and out. we were able to set up the room the day before and the staff were so friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful little cafe with a vintage shop opposite the pub l and lovely duck pond..great for a visit with kids on a sunny day.. we will definitely be visiting many times with friends this summer. Thank you again x
Lovely Pub And Cafe. They do great events on the car park from music to cars. The prices are great for the coffee, cake from the cafe and the sasauge baps from the pub. Brilliant area they have a huge pond with a variety of ducks and fish. And benchs and tables all around, so plenty of sitting outside and in to enjoy your beverages.
Great country pub with well kept ale. a lovely place to visit when sunny as they have a charming duck pond with excellent seating.
What a hidden gem.
Brilliant antiques shop in the cafe. Caramel Latte was delicious and the homemade cakes are to die for. The surrounding is very peaceful and buildings are beautiful. Brilliant place for the kids to play with he ducks. But be carful they don’t fall in ???? not very deep
But no railings so use common sense

Lovely village pub by the duck pond, very busy on a Sunday but tables in the garden and by the pond and the weather was nice so no problem, didn't eat so don't know if they do food, good choice of beers.
Good surrounds you can take your children to feed the ducks, and fish. There is ample seating outside, the staff are really friendly. And if you sit inside they have a roaring open fire, lovely place
1st time visiting the lovely place. 50yrs old lived locally 30yrs never knew such a gem is literally 2 miles from home
My favourite pub love sitting by pond in summer all the ducks just so relaxing such friendly bar staff too.
