Where to start? I only agreed to accompany my partner as I needed a break. Id rather have broken my leg.
Half-arsed service and when the food arrived...dear God. It had obviously sat under the salamander. Everything was burnt and the steak pie was dry. Even the lumpy bisto gravy didn't help. I left half of it and told the waiter it was horrible and I wouldn't pay for it all.
My partner went to pay and they hadn't even acknowledged my complaint. Won't be back.
The atmosphere was just as awful. Loud men passing judgement on everything. It's Greenlaw lads not the Vogue offices.
I can't recommend at all.
My wife and I were in for lunch. The Reasturant bright and welcoming. The service was first class with staff that seemed to enjoy working there. The food was excellent at a very reasonable price. Neither my wife or I could find anything to complain about. We will certainly be back in the very near future.
Menu limited to be expected for small country pub. Made up for with quality food, and variety. Good service, and very friendly staff.

Very friendly staff and resonably priced. Food was nice and presented well. Cosy inside.

A quick, impromptu visit for a coffee and beer, before lunch service got underway, so didn't experience food and it was quiet. But the items we had were good and the service very pleasant, so much so we checked out the menus and plan to go back.

Seated efficiently, but had to wait a long time for our food. Needed to ask about the specials.
Otherwise it was honest grub, at reasonable prices, in a location that is limited for options.
Parking can be a challenge.
