Was staying in the area and fancied an Indian meal. Popped into the Bengal Bear and was very impressed with the quality and taste of the two meals we ordered. Would definitely recommend the Chicken Madras and the Rogan Chicken.
Bring your own alcohol if you drink as they don't have an alcohol licence.
I always have the lamb tikka madras. Absolutely lovely curry. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Best curry restaurant I've ever eaten at and I've eaten lots of curries in my lifetime.
Stayed over in Bath for a couple of days and this restaurant was recommended by a friend for authentic Indian food. Fantastic little spot which was a short drive from Bath city centre. Very quick service considering the restaurant was very busy whilst still serving flavoursome piping hot food. Well worth the visit, will come back again defo. The servers and owner of the restaurant were very pleasant, had a chat with them and they recommended a few places to visit before leaving Bath. They have a small car park right next to the restaurant.
tried this for the 1st time and it was first class if you want a good Indian meal the Bengal bear in box is spot on all tho it was a bit expensive it was worth the money plus the meals are quite big thank you

Food was utterly delicious. Everything that we tasted was really good. Friendly staff. Apparently the restaurant doesn't hold a alcohol licence but you can bring your own. Ideally you will need to book a table, according to staff. The only but was the bill, it did not specify what you were charge for. (I know we had the menus when we order but we didn't check the prices). Still very reasonable price. Would still comeback
I’m not sure the comment section is big enough to express how much my family enjoyed our meal tonight!!
To start we were greeted with a warm welcome and such friendly staff. They made me feel at ease straight away and when eating out with young children it makes such a difference to feel comfortable.
Moving on to the food the waiter was lovely, the food came out quickly and every single one of the 6 (different) main dishes were so tasty, thoroughly enjoyed and really well presented. The sides were delicious too!
We honestly couldn’t be happier with our meal at The Bengal Bear tonight!!
Very welcoming, lovely food. Free parking available. Fairly priced. 5 star food hygiene rating (in Sept 22). A very nice experience all round.
