Visited for a coffee and wine with my Mum today ???? last time we went we had a bad experience but that was a long time ago now.
Carol is turning this place around and it's lovely. Staff very pleasant ????
We will definitely be coming back for either coffees wines snd even food.
Anyone can go in anytime just for a drink and catch up with friends ????.
Went for a breakfast here after seeing it getting good reviews on the local community page and decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. 2 adults and 1 child for a very good price. Food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Coffee, tea and juices were available to help yourself to as was toast and pastries. Fresh and clean. Service with a smile and very personable. Will definitely be looking to eat here again in the very near future.
Rooms are fine, staff are extremely hospitable, cannot do enough to help you and make you feel welcome. Restaurant food was great and very reasonably priced. rooms are reasonably priced too. plenty of parking. Had a small issue with the security alarm going off through the night, but when mentioned on check out the staff bent over backwards to compensate for it. Would definitely stay again. A good, honest place to stay. Drinks a little pricey at £4-10 a pint, but that may be the going rate for this area?
After reading bad reviews and publicity I nearly cancelled my booking here on 18th March. Thankfully I chose to continue the booking after being reassured by a trusted family who had stayed here recently. I was upgraded to a deluxe room as I was staying four nights which was a bonus. The room was very spacious and clean and was cleaned every day. The first night they didn’t provide any towels due to “being let down by the dry cleaners “. However this was rectified on the second day. The room was quiet and well appointed with tea and coffee replenished every day. The communal areas were clean and tidy and breakfast was very nice with a good choice on offer. The bed was very hard in the room making sleep challenging but overall I would recommend this hotel. The only word of warning! The manager and manageress came to the hotel in November and were leaving the Monday after my stay. For this reason I would reserve judgement until you make a visit. On my experience though a reasonable budget hotel which was good value
Visited for Sunday lunch, a very warm welcome from all the staff, Carvery was fantastic, all piping hot, plentiful, with fabulous crackling from the roast pork. We only just had room for a pudding, one apple pie and custard and one chocolate fudge cake and custard, both again served piping hot. Highly recommended the beaches.
Lovely decor, friendly team. Food delicious. Dining Room was cold due to open plan layout and having front door propped open to allow air to circulate.
Spent a night and they were very welcoming. Had a problem with locking my door but the second I spoke with someone and informed them they went out of their way to get the issue resolved quickly. I felt very reassured by the way it was delt with and it didn’t affect my stay. The staff were friendly helpful and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was very good and I was very impressed with the service and amount I had. I would stay again and recommend it to anyone who stays in the area. Lady night porter was a gem and she went out of her way to help us. 10 of 10 recommendations for all!
Okay... so first time we've been. Slight issue with power cut when we arrived that was soon fixed. We were sat in the conservatory where it was boiling hot... too hot in fact. Food was great but chap serving dished up pork when I'd asked for Turkey.
Atlantic Pale Ale on tap which was very welcome, may I suggest getting black sheep at some point too.
Deserts were lovely and veg was cooked to perfection.
