I travelled from Nottinghamshire on business and don’t know the area and after wards googled bakeries and The Bakery came up.
Alas. I didn’t realise it was cash only and only had Apple Pay . The member of staff provided a delicious sandwich and did not request payment.
I didn’t make a request and thought it was such a nice thing to do.
I would have easily without fuss found a national bakers and paid by card .
The kind deed says a lot about the staff
And it was really nice too
This bakery has maintained its food, service and price for over 15+ years now! The best in town, never disappoint.
Lovely traditional establishment. Food was fantastic, great price and wonderful service also. Looking forward to my next visit.
This place is brilliant the sandwiches, bread & cakes are spot on, however if your paying them a visit I suggest you buy a warm Cornish pasty and eat it as soon as you close the door, I tell you my friend's you'll be hooked......I want the recipe ♥️!!!!
We all love The Bakery! I 100% recommend this lovely little establishment if you fancy a great sandwich or cake! Just don't ask for a runny egg ???????? just kidding! These lovely ladies deserve all the customers they can handle! Delicious food & awesome staff & well worth a visit ????

Used them for the first time for a works lunch, picked the £7.00 per person menu, never ever again,i was ashamed to let my colleagues see it and when i rang the following day,and told them that one of my work mates said oh i have never had potato salad made with mash potato's before, the lady in the Bakery's response was as follow "Oh do you know when i bought the Potato Salad from Asda, i thought oh its a bit sloppy/mushy, but it will be alright, !!!!!, that's just one example of what was a very very poor buffet, they were paid £175.00 from me for what was minimal effort from them , when people picked up the vol-u-vents some of the bottoms fell off, it was a total disgrace, now i can see why they only have a 3 star rating from the food hygiene inspection have added a couple of pictures
