Went for a high tea. Good selection of food. Coffee was great. The Angel used to be an old pub so there is plenty space. I'll go again.
Fully booked today lunchtime, arrived to find absolutely fantastic service got table within 5 min and manage to sit all together. Freshly cooked food high quality products, delicious and most importantly children friendly. Definitely coming back there
Stayed overnight in one of their double rooms while attending an event at Quay Theatre, which is just around the corner. Great communication, friendly owner and lovely clean rooms. Would highly recommend.
The meal was excellent, decent portions for a great Sunday roast lunch. Good quality and very reasonable prices.The staff was friendly but not intrusive, which means you can have a quiet conversation with your friends. The decor is not much, but I honestly didn't mind. The food quality and cooking completely made up for it in my opinion.I will come back.

Went for Christmas meal with neighbours, eight in party. Comfortable climate, nice relaxing atmosphere. Staff welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food arrived hot and was very, very good. I had traditional Christmas dinner, the salmon risotto looked excellent and I'm told it tasted great. One of our party is vegetarian and said that the nut roast was excellent. A nice night with good company, good food and great service. Would definitely recommend.
Clean bright rooms. Nice and warm with comfortable beds. We stayed two nights Fri-Sunday last week and were the only guests because of the Covid restrictions but were made to feel very welcome. Olivia and Dion in particular made sure we had everything we needed and the breakfast was generous and tasty. The garden area is rather sweet with a covered area where we sat in the evening. Evening meals weren't being served at that time but Dion made sure we had plates, cutlery and glasses and chilled our bought wine in his fridge for us. We feel it was a lovely little place and very good value. No request was a problem
Decided to go to the Angel for a Sunday roast with the other half and loved every moment of it. The staff were incredibly welcoming and polite and made you feel right at home , I can't fault the staff.
The atmosphere was very nice and clean and the garden was nice with plenty of Space between tables.
The Sunday roast was one of the best I have ever had and was great value for money.
Me and my partner both had the trio of meat roast , meaning you got beef , pork and chicken with all the seasonal vegetables and Yorkshire pudding with a good helping of cauliflower cheese.
I honestly can't fault the service that was provided and we will be coming back.
