19/03/24: Works Do! Had a great time. Another good choice of craft ale in vintage quirky surroundings. Lots to take in.
01/05/23: back again, still a good choice of craft ale and dog friendly. [photo update]
12/08/22: Hebden Bridge Ale Trail: The Albert pub, The Famous Albert, formerly The Albert Hotel. A Victorian style pub throughout, decorative adornishments on the walls, unusual light fittings and a smattering of musical instruments amidst two quirky rooms, with a small benched seating area outside. Set on a plot of triangular land, this pub offers a few craft ales and an extensive gin list.
Great pub. Looks brilliant inside. Not sure, but think it's had a makeover. Excellent job. I think 5 real ales on, including Theakstons Old Peculiar and Timmy Taylor's Landlord and Boltmaker. Had to try all three, gorgeous. A more varied selection of foreign bottled beers. Don't know if they do food. A great atmosphere in this pub. Also friendly bar staff.
Last time here was pre the terrible 2015 flood. By my rubbish memory it has been updated to a very high standard. Liked it before and like it now. Had my first pint of Theakston's Light Foot Golden Ale. Lovely. Good vibe.
Fantastic quirky pub... perfectly kept hand pulled beers and the staff are so friendly... wish this place was near me..
Staff miserable with a landlady who brings a new meaning to RBF. Drinks expensive which isnt a problem if good service and atmosphere but with a landlady like this stay away and use the pub at the back of it. Better atmosphere, nice staff and better prices.
Great traditional pub in the centre of Hebden Bridge. Great bar staff and choice of drinks. Loved the atmosphere. I would recommend.
Friendly welcoming pub. Good range of real ales from Timothy Taylor, Black Sheep and Theakstons. Ale kept well and well poured.
Lovely home cooked food in a very pleasant pub. If you fancy some music, there's a guitar and mandolin and a piano for anyone to have a play with.
