Ted's

I had a fantastic experience at Ted's Smashed Burgers! The place is visually appealing and the burgers are simply amazing, making it the best-looking burger joint in Barmouth. The burgers themselves were outstanding, surpassing even Five Guys in taste and value for money. My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed them. However, my wife ordered the nourish bowl and felt it lacked sufficient meat. The venue's decor is lovely and inviting. Regrettably, the service was a letdown, with no warm welcome or attentive customer service. We arrived at 18:00 with a queue ahead of us, waiting 40 minutes, which is understandable. However, better communication from the staff about the wait time would have been appreciated. If the service improves, Ted's could easily become the top burger spot in the village.

Firstly, I'd like to say that we were in Barmouth looking for a different restaurant but walked past Ted's and we were too tempted by an awesome looking menu! We took a seat and ordered. As you can see from the photos..the food was delicious. Completely love the menu. I'd like to see a non-fizzy drink on offer other than water... maybe apple juice? For the kids mainly.

We forgot to order loaded fries, so i went back up to the desk but there was a large order in front of me. When I got to order, I asked the lady (who is lovely) if it would come out at the same time as the meal, the cook heard and said 'No. Well, it depends what it is'. Initially, i thought he was a little abrupt, but when i said it was loaded fries he said he explained that it might be just after because he cooks the bacon fresh- and so I figured, they've just had a couple of big orders and maybe it was more 'flustered' rather than abrupt. I only mention it because I wondered why it only had 3.6 stars and when I looked, it was a couple of comments about 'rude staff'. I wonder if that might also be misunderstandings. ANYWAY-It didn't affect our outing because they were accommodating and everything, including the extra loaded fries, was ready at the same time- which we were very grateful for! The food was delicious. Great portions, tasty, hot food. We will definitely return and hope this place does really well!!

Nice fresh food, good portions, a great new addition to the Barmouth food scene. Only criticism was that I was told it would be 20 mins but was more like 30/40. The staff were very apologetic and waiting 30 mins for the amount we ordered, at peak time was still pretty good in my opinion. Will definitely be returning!

Great find Ted's,dead opposite the harbour in Barmouth. I was able to sit outside in the sun- I had to ditch my winter coat - and take my time eating a fab steak and onion sub with peppercorn sauce,chunky chips and diet coke. Total cost 15 quid.

The portions are generous and come in handy containers that double as a doggie bag. All this and a clear view of the little train crossing the amazing bridge over the estuary. Give Ted's a try!

Ted's was recommended to us by our AirBnB host and we are glad we visited! Nice set up inside with ample seating for the size of the place. Friendly service by the staff. The choices of food to suit different allergies etc is excellent. The food is simply amazing! We both had a Nourish Bowl and were not disappointed by the portion size, the taste and freshness of the food, we will definitely return in the future!

Myself and my boyfriend were visiting Barmouth on Saturday. We had been wondering around for a while and stumbled upon Ted’s (perfect for us as it’s my boyfriend’s name too!) decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did! I opted for the sea bass tacos and my boyfriend has the burger tacos I believe, food came out so quickly and the quality of it was immense! We were going to visit again on the Sunday but unfortunately ran out of time :( cannot wait to come back again!
