Someone said the fish wasn't Haddock - I think it was, and what a lovely bit of Haddock it was too. Big, nicely battered and really meaty. Chips were plentiful and lovely too.
Friendly fish bar where the food is fresh and really hot. As a 'southerner' I was persuaded to have 'bits' and that was a tasty naughty treat too. (So it's not all bad up here ;-) )

Fantastic fish and chips. Such a shame are not open more often than their three frys a week. Far far better than another establishment nearby that gets inexplicable queues.
We have a traditional chippy tea every Friday, we have been going to this chippy for years and can quite happily say they are the best we have ever had, excellent size portions and the staff are very friendly
First went here in 2012 ish and was blown away by taste and quality. far superior than any other place I've been, including the likes of award winners in Whitby. Now living in Essex but when I come back up north working or visiting family I will always try and re-aquaint myself with their splendid delicacies. Highly Recommended!!!
Good fish and chips but it's never open! Absurd opening hours of only Thursday lunchtime then Friday lunchtime and evening until 7. East German style opening times!
Massive portion of chips good size fish too. Tasty bite is an apt description. Who says traditional fish and chips are expensive these represent good value
Excellent fish & chips, freshly prepared and excellent taste. Good size portions and value for money with friendly staff.
Staff are wonderful - The young gentleman who served us this afternoon was fantastic with the kids and had top notch customer service.
Food was great and reasonably priced - kids finished their plates!
