I have been here many times, and not once been disappointed! It’s the perfect spot for a coffee, food, and I even had my 30th birthday party here which was just perfect! The team are so lovely and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. I’ve tried most things on the menu now and all are delicious ???????? very highly recommend.
Sturdee on the Rocks is a charming restaurant located on Hastings Sea Front. Today, I had the pleasure of dining there for Mother's Day, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience.
The highlight of the meal was the roast dinner. It was cooked to perfection and came with all the trimmings, including crispy roast potatoes, succulent meat, and a selection of fresh vegetables. The portion size was generous, and the flavours were exceptional.
But what really made the meal stand out was the complimentary bunch of flowers that the restaurant gave me. It was a lovely gesture and showed that they truly care about their customers.
The atmosphere of Sturdee on the Rocks was also wonderful. The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming ambiance, with friendly staff and a beautiful sea view. It was the perfect setting for a special occasion like Mother's Day.
I highly recommend Sturdee on the Rocks to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Hastings. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was superb. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
I have eaten here many times and every time has not been anywhere close to disappointment! The staff are super friendly and helpful. The whole place has such a good feel about it, when the sun is shining it is without a doubt one of the best sun trap spots in hastings! A great edition to the town all should be proud
We decided to have fish and chips for lunch after a windy stroll along tge sea front. Every restaurant or cafe looked quite down market or only took cash. Then we found On The Rocks.
The welcome as we walked through the door was very friendly. The vibe of the place was upbeat and the service was first rate.
The food was every bit as good as it looked.
If ever I'm in Hastings again (this was my first visit) then I would happily return to try some of the other things on the menu.
We had a New Year’s Eve 7 course tasting menu here last night, my partner has lots of allergies (gluten/yeast) so the owner/chef created a menu especially for him which was above & beyond! The food was outstanding (best sponge dessert I’ve ever tasted!), the service was excellent, amazing cocktails and super friendly atmosphere. Thank you so much! Will defo be back ????
All the pictures are from their breakfast menu which looked amazing and is why I went. HOWEVER after 11am the menu goes down hill pretty rapidly. Look at the pathetic excuse for a burger, and I’ve never seen scampi overcooked this much.
Nice cafe / wine bar / restaurant right on the seafront in Hastings. The location is amazing looking straight out to see opposite the main car park in Hastings seafront. They sell food drinks including cocktails. Good service nice seating area very modern with good design. Nice place to sit have a, breakfast, brunch, food drink, coffee or even a cocktail with friends!
It was a very good fish and chips meal!
The cod was very fresh, like I'd just caught it!
Also, the fish and chips were not greasy, which made it possible to taste!
