All I can say is fantastic! The fresh air is exhilarating, I can not describe it. You'll have to be there to experience it yourself. Also, when it's warmer weather, they have activities especially designed for disabled people to have fun. Amazing place.
Undoubtedly the best lodge ,we have stayed in . scenery fantastic, weather was fantastic.this lodge slept 6 people.bedrooms all fab, loads of closet space for clothes.lounge and kitchen area huge.plenty sitting area outside ,spacious hot tub.couple of minus,s. Grass cut and just left ,could,not really use to course and messy.the lodge is all glass fronted, due to heat ,inside was a greenhouse temperature, went to get patio keys out of safe lock, they were not there ,so dis-appionting.make sure you pack loads of provisions as very little locally. But totally great weekend break.highly recommend the streaker lodges.

The McCardle was lovely & the built in hoist over the bed is brilliant. My only comment as a hoist user is that the bed is a double & very low & made undressing & dressing on the bed vertly difficult for myself & my carers. The bed could do with being higher or ideally a profile bed or a bed that could be raised & lowered would make the McCardle perfect for the more physically disabled. We also had a bit of trouble with the Smart TV but after contacting reception someone came straight out & fixed it for us which was great. A good weekend was had by all. Thank you. Judy.
Stayed at The Mcardle lodge for 3 nights for the Kielder Marathon weekend first weekend in October. Lovely lodge in a beautiful location. What spoilt our weekend is the hot tub not working and the heating wasn't working. The main reason we chose this lodge was for the hot tub so it was very disappointing.
A quiet and magical spot right at the edge of Kielder water. Perfect place for a chill. Zip Coaster worth a go too!
So comfortable, staff on site were amazing, quiet and peaceful. Well equipped lodge.
