Literally the best traditional pasty and steak slice I’ve had yet! The fillings were flavourful and generous, and the pastry was light, flaky and buttery. Best of all it was the perfect temperature to eat immediate. Sad I didn’t buy more as I live out of town.
The lady serving brewed my tea properly and asked how I like it, the steak slice was far tastier than the Greg's version, and had a lovely little jam doughnut for afters. This kind of establishment is what puts the Great into Britain
Oh dear, came here a few years ago when passing through Hungerford and had an excellent meal.
Came here today and it's now awful. Very slow service and the food wasn't great, bacon was so overcooked it was like leather and it's not as if the price was good either.
Wouldn't recommend in future.
Average bakery and looks dated (check out the fades signs and neon tubes inside) but if you like a old fashioned bakery (iced buns, sausage rolls etc) you can't go wrong. Baguettes and hot food made to order. Prices reasonable. Small seating area if you want to eat in.
Not great. Not very much on display. (It was 12.15, so expected some things ready) Ordered sandwich and panini and waited over 15mins. Sandwich came out plain and panini came with sad little bit of lettuce, hot drink arrived with the food. Didn’t have a warm and fuzzy feeling or receive a nice welcome although the young girl tried but the atmosphere was lacking. Felt it was overpriced for basic food. Kids sandwich, tuna panini, coke and a mocha just short of £12! Oh and no toilet so had to rush my daughter round to Tesco for their facility. I always like to support smaller businesses but I won’t be back unless I hear it has improved.
If you fancy working free labour this is the place for you. They may say they’ll pay you but they won’t….
Wasn't great all deep fat fried food and over priced. Nice enough staff tho
Was lovely the staff are so friendly food was extremely nice would definatly go in again.
