Not been in this pub for a few years but dropped some charity gear off for the charity day . Staff a young barmaid very polite very friendly no complaints from myself the pub is very spacious very nicely set out I stayed for a few pints very chilled & I hoping to call back . To say they do food it smelled delicious was making me hungry so maybe next time but yes I would definitely give it a try . Pool available plus outdoor area magic
Fantastic little gem of pub! We were looking for somewhere for a proper cozy dinner as the weather outside was grim! Then we stumbled upon this absolute goldmine! Staff couldn't help us enough, and we were greeted with open arms when we arrived! The food was absolutely beautiful, and very reasonably priced! Our little fella had fish and chips, which was priced at a fiver! (fantastic price for kids meals) the fish was freshly battered and was inhaled by the boss! And to our surprise he got an ice cream with it! The pie was a beautiful generous portion and so was the lamb! Will definitely be going back to this pub again! The lady at the bar and the cook were absolutely fantastic and lovely to us!
Nice people. Although seemed inexperienced which is fine everyone has to start somewhere.
Long wait for order to be taken, had starters ideally toddler meal should have been brought when ordered with the starters. The toddler meal was forgotten and came when everyone else had finished!
Extremely long wait between starter and main. Adult meals brought out first kids waiting getting narky! The food was ok, gammon way too salty.
Only one dessert option!!!
Part of meal payment was given and staff presumed no desserts were going to be ordered and so came over asking if we were ready to settle the payment.
Can partly understand this but it did make us feel we had to leave.
I do think the place would benefit from a few experienced staff to lead the way then it would be a cracking place.

What a good pub good food and beer highly recommended
The pub side of things I couldn't fault, but the kitchen was an absolute joke, waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food, wish I could say it was worth the wait but it wasn't it was dreadful, the 2 young ladies couldn't apologise enough we got free dessert for the wait, think the manager needs to pop in bottomley Arms ask them how its done wont be coming back here will drive further and go to bottomley Arms
So, we decided to pop in this pub for the 1st time expecting the usual "pub grub" and what we discovered was amazing.
Hidden away to one side was a dedicated Thai restaurant! We all had 2 courses which were served quickly and were all out of this world! You could really see and taste that the chef took great pleasure in creating some fantastic authentic Thai cuisine.
Not too expensive and well worth a visit.
We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem!

Kath & staff are very friendly they accommodated all of our requests, lovely pub & I can not wait for the food menu to start. Decent Gin selection. Thank you again for your hospitality yesterday everyone commented on how nice your pub & service was.
