Ordered a tawa for 4
Tawa usually contains the following items, 4 chicken tikka, 4 lamb chops, 2 chicken sheekh kebabs, 2 meat sheekh kebabs, 4 fish pakora, 4 chicken wings, 1 meat curry, 1 veg curry, 2 naan, 2 roti and chips.. Also separate salad and sauces
We exchanged the veg curry for a chicken curry instead by paying a few pounds extra, so we had a meat and chicken curry on the tawa instead.
Lamb chops were very enjoyable, good taste n flavour to them, likewise the sheekh kebabs especially the chicken ones, very meaty and the right amount of spice level to them. Both curries were tasty, meat was nice n tender. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the chicken tikka and fish pakora. The tikka was bland and tasteless in my opinion and the fish was a flop..
The service provided by the young kid with the glasses was top, sorry didn't get his name. Nice and polite, yet talkative and bubbly. Real little gem of a guy...
Really nice food maybe improve some staff.. The young lad waiter running round after everyone (he seemed to be doing a few other of the waitresses jobs) with a smile on his face all the time.. some of the waitresses found it difficult to take orders etc not sure if due to me talking to fast, but did notice the lad had to help them out with other table orders too.. the lady on the till asked if food was nice i said yes and tried to respond saying good but she didnt seem interested not sure why she actually asked! the seating area is new but the tables seem set out all for big parties. So we ended up with a table for about 8 people and only 2 of us. But there was plenty of space for our food then on the table . Chicken kharai nice and lovely lamb chops. Deffo be back to try desserts
Popped into Rochdale with brother in law and nephew and attracted to this take away by bright facade. Order quickly taken and opted for half grilled peri peri chicken, naan and chips. It took 12 minutes but chips were not 100% hot and grilled chicken too. The wrotee was fresh and straight from the tawa. Overall if the food had been pipping hot then well worth another visit.
I bought 3 lamb legs and a pizza to take away. The food was really good, meat was soft and pretty much fell off the bone. The portion sizes are very generous with plenty of sides and sauces/gravy. This was for around 12 adults and 8 children. This was more than enough for everyone
Drove down from Glasgow went to Shish Cafe in Rochdale the place is clean and you can sit in plus take out the food was on point tasty delicious ordered the Tawa dish it was nice and tasty the roti were soft and the salad was fresh service was brilliant the young lad was active will defo come back to Shish Cafe in Rochdale

I wouldn't go there again.! Food doesn't taste good and they lack basic common sense. Ordered 3 pizza deal, they don't do mushroom pizza, but they do chicken and mushroom pizza, so I said take the chicken out- they said then they would charge extra!! They want to charge me extra for saving them money by taking out pizza toppings. Never heard such ludicrousy in life before.! Anyone don't believe me try this out and see what they say and leave a review. Lol.
As I work all over the north west, I can honestly say this is probably the best cafe/fast food place I have eaten in.
Staff are really polite, helpful and friendly. Food is great, comes out hot and fresh, the wait is also a good distance and not waiting ages for your food.
If anyone passes by, pop in and eat here. (Seating areas are also great).
