The place is stunning! The feeling of waking up in this beach is impossible to describe. The place is quite and it requires 5' minute walk from the parking (no camper allowed). No water or toilets but amazing nature. We were there in August, unfortunately midges were everywhere and made it hard to enyoj it at 100%.
Well what can I say the beach was so beautiful .what a view to wake up to Kids loved it so much we will be back. Note to anyone there is a sign that says no vans or campervans on the gate to save you a trip just in case you don't know this . there is also a little black box that you put your £5 in per night please pay and be honest as this place is beautiful and they need the money to upkeep this lovely place. The sheep are great and also very content with humans lots of poo around watch your feet when walking. Please also take your rubbish to the green bin 5 mins walk away near the graveyard at the gate. We will be back this place is a beauty
No parking / camping in any vehicle now. Not just motorhomes.
Shame, as we drove off road to camp here but now need to find somewhere else.
Still lovely to park in the car park and walk to the beach.
Found this by chance on the recommendation of a dog walker at kinlochbervie dockside, what an utter surprise of the stunning beauty of the beach and surrounding countryside, topped by the beautiful blue waters.
Not to many midges, that's a bonus.
A stunning spot with a beautiful beach. There's nothing in terms of facilities except a box to leave your money in so don't expect any and take away your waste / rubbish. Leave nothing but your footprints in the sand.
Very basic camping, honor system. Beautiful scenery everywhere to compensate. 4x4 can get a bit closer to the beach & away from others, but stay off the beach. Only go where you can see others have been.
There's no sign of this campsite anymore nor the donation box. Also, overnight parking isn't allowed at the graveyard (which would be the only place to park your car there when camping).
We spent 3 nights in the end of April. It was a stunning and marvellous wee bay with a fantastic view. Very quiet, just the wild life's sounds around us, peaceful and totally beautiful, nice campsite to stay in when you really need a switch off far from the civilization and all this and the fresh air give you all expectations for rechargeing your batteries. We will return back soon as we discussed:) 5 pounds/ night into the honor box, no electricity or water, you have to be prepared for the distance from the site to the tap,by car app.2 mins, by walk around 20mins. It is worth and definitely recommended place to people who respect the rules and thr environment.
