Helpful staff, they do a gluten free dish. I have a gluten intolerance and can have the chips and prawn crackers too.
Extremely expensive for the quality of food that you receive. Food wanst the best at all!
Shocking quality fish and chips. Portions tiny and chips were obviously reheated. Charged £7.50 for a supposedly large portion of inedible food.
Tried this for the first time Christmas Eve. For an order for 6 the staff whipped it up in no more than 20 mins. The food was delicious especially the satay and the sweet and sour chicken. Genuinely really pleased with this Chinese, one of the better ones I’ve had. Do note it’s cash only.
Possibly the worst fish and chips ever. This place has gone down hill quickly. The fish is wafer thin and obviously frozen. The chips must have been cooked yesterday and left in the hot cupboard.. they were hard as nails. And as for the attitude of the staff well that's a whole different experience.
Considering we were the only people in there at 7.30 on a Tuesday it was if we were an inconvenience to serve the terrible food to.
I called through with a telephone order in advance, and was surprised when I was advised it could be readied for collection within 10 minutes.
Unlike my "local" Chinese takeaway, Seaspray has loads of off road parking, which I appreciate.
The food itself was nice, and unlike some outlets, it was not swimming in grease! Portions were great, and it was all still nice and hot when we got home. The only thing that stops me giving 5 stars is their inability to accept card payments, meaning I had to stop at the cash machine on the way to collect. Its weird how every other shop 'encourages ' card payment, but this one doesn't even allow it.
I went here today for some good old fashioned Chinese chips like Tim used to do (previous owner) I'm not sure if they put any chinese into the chips as they were like regular chips (my sister says some special chinese salt, she used to work there many many many years ago)???? chicken curry was nice although does not come with chips or rice??
