Stayed in The Hive, one of the woodland snugs and cannot praise it highly enough. The views were incredible, cleanliness was 10/10 and the attention to detail and care that has gone into Laggan is outstanding. Great shower, cosy with heating on and all furnishings of high quality. We used an Itison deal for two nights and the value was incredible. We ate at Gather on both evenings which is a stunning venue with sea views and gorgeous interior. Although The Hive didn’t have hot tub, this didn’t bother us as we enjoyed walking in the area, exploring nearby towns and watching red kites soar in the sky above the snug with the binoculars. Cannot wait to return!
Really beautiful, thoughtfully designed accommodation. Was glad we were in the Nest as had the most private hot tub of those we walked past. |Our hot tub jets weren’t working, but we just used it as a lovely hot bath outdoors. And while the room is well heated by radiators, the floor is vinyl and very cold underfoot so either more rugs or providing slippers would be good. But I hope we’ll be back (and when we do I’ll bring my own slippers!)
We stayed at the Costal Crib, loved our stay but I think check in at 4pm is a bit late and 10am a bit early for check out.|The restaurant was closed when we were there so that was not good ???? we were offered and had breakfast at GGS yard, it was lovely and the young lady that took care of us was very nice and efficient .|We took advantage of the hot tub and it was very good in freezing cold weather in a hot pool, we used it both nights we stayed and was great gazing at the night sky! Due to the restaurant being closed had to look locally for somewhere to eat, we couldn’t find anything open the first night, however travelling a bit further along managed to find somewhere suitable. Maybe a microwave in the lodge would be a good idea? |The views during the day were stunning and the clear night sky on the first night was amazing!!|Would definitely stay again…..

The on site restaurant Gather, us only a short walk away from each cabin.
Would be an amazing place for a wedding.

Had a relaxing stay in the nest.||The accommodation is lovely, peaceful and private. The room was clean and well decorated. Staff at the restaurant are friendly and professional, food and drinks were very nice at lunch and breakfast. ||Only a few negative comments which could easily be rectified. 4pm is a late check in and 10am is an early check out for the price of £220 per night, I dont feel you are able to make the most of the experience with these times if you are only staying for one night, especially in winter when its fairly dark by 4pm you can't sit outside long or enjoy the views from the hot tub. I would only consider staying here again at this price if the check in was 1pm and check out was at 11. ||The room didnt heat up much, wifi connection was poor and there is a bath but no bubble bath. Aside from this we had a lovely stay and will definitely be back to the restaurant when in the area.
We have just returned from our night in the harbour hideaway. We had a fantastic time and just loved it. ||We visited the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast which was frantic and the staff were great. ||The only two things that let it down for us would be: ||1. The smell from the toilet. |2. A small table between the two chairs would have been great. We did get creative and used the iron board to play games on. ||Other than that it was exactly what we needed to reset after a busy festive season and we’ll definitely be back. |||
If your looking to switch off , this is the place , everything was perfect, |a constructive suggestion I would love to add ... the hot tub area is very open from the back , a small tasteful wind stop / privacy screen would be an advantage.. also a small table to go with those lovely chairs facing the patio doors would be an advantage. (Cards , board games etc ) ...these are slowly suggestion ???? in no way did it deter us fir a I suspect future visits .... 9/10
Our stay at Laggan was so peaceful. The staff could not have been more friendly. I had a terrible migraine when we stayed and the man who answered the phone came straight up to assist in any way he could. Fabulous service. Gorgeous view from our room. Will definitely stay again!
