Ordered fish and chips, with 1/2lb cheeseburger through just eat.
Time quoted on just eat was considerably incorrect and the food arrived much quicker than stated on the app!
Reasonably priced. Food was luke warm, but quite tasty and I would order from here again due to the speed of delivery.
Ordered on a Monday so we got 10% off a £15 or more spend.
This place is great if you book in advance and pick up. Otherwise go somewhere else. I wish I had. Ordered a fish (already cooked), battered sausage (already cooked), tray of kebab meat (would have thought would be near to being cooked), and maybe some scraps (batter). Fish and sausage placed on top straight away. £12.30 taken immediately. Waited for 20 minutes during which people came to pick up orders. Fish fried fresh and kebabs ordered and received. When the kebab meat eventually came, I pointed out that my fish and sausage would be cold. No she said. Still warm. Stone cold when I got home. Won’t be back. Cod on the Rocks and Riley’s are much, much better. Attached is a photo of my fish. Would have been really nice fresh, I’m sure. But…..
I’ve just had the best takeaway meal of my life from the Saxon. I had the lemon and herb chicken kebab with chips, salad and pitta and it was incredibly good. The salad was fresh, well prepared and presented, unlike most takeaways. The chicken was moist, tender, delicious and very plentiful. The chips were lovely, too. Proper, chip shop chips. Pitta was soft and fresh. Also added some garlic sauce to our order. I couldn’t finish my meal and had to wrap up some chicken which I will enjoy tomorrow. I can’t say enough good things about the meal I enjoyed this evening. Best ever.
Good food. Bit of a wait if you just walk in, but that's ok because you know it's freshly cooked. There's not much room to wait either.
I discovered this gem of a chippy a few months ago on my way home from the hospital. I ordered mushy peas and chips and they were spot on. On top of this they make pizzas, kebabs etc so definitely give them a go.
Visit regularly for 'fishy tea' as they haven'tdisappointed in over 12mths of usung this chippie. As usual I got a half lot & tub of mushy peas???? which was excellent as usual. For a change - daughter went for a doner wrap & chips inside ???? & says it was really nice.
Recommended by locals, always a good sign. Good portions. Would certainly go back.
Thanks Saxon Fish and Chips for my very first Parmo Wrap, It was alot of food for £5.50. I love the North. Cheaper and better quality takeaway. Friendly staff, very popular and busy. We are spoiled for choose in Hartlepool but it not the healthiest. No wonder the arvarge age of death is lower my 10 years here in Hartlepool.
