Overall: Decent Food, TERRIBLE Service even by Caribbean restaurant standards.
Food: ordered Jerk pork, rice and peas, and Mac n cheese. The food was decent apart from the Mac n cheese which tasted like it had been cooked days before and was extremely stodgy. Jerk pork was excellent and something I can’t fault them for.
Service: the restaurant is very narrow with chairs crammed in tightly to each other. So as not to block the gangway 3 of us sat across two tables. We were told very rudely to use one table only despite the restaurant being empty. After this exchange, after a long wait our food arrived lukewarm and was rudely slammed down by the waitress. Any further requests for drinks, tissues etc were met with an extremely dismissive tone afterwards.
Also note, there is a hidden up charge for sitting in the restaurant. A meal (main + side + drink) that would cost around £15-20 as a takeaway costs around £30+ - this wasn’t mentioned on the menu or anywhere around the restaurant and felt like a scam.
It’s a shame their in person service is so unwelcoming as I’ve been ordering takeaways from them for the last 3+ years however after this experience. It’s no surprise business is booming next door when this is level of contempt they treat their customers with.
The customer service was disappointing , thought they will be more friendly but they was so horrible , the food is also very disgusting, there’s not much to say to be honest , I thought everything will be well but was definitely the worse experience with Caribbean food as I am a Caribbean myself , they need to do better. Making black business look bad. So so disappointed
Just very bad quality food. I thought the order was Mac&Cheese not a reheated, dry and stales exampke of a supermarket version. as the pictures shows..????
Ordered a meal on Just Eat for 2 people for £25 clearly states it includes dumplings and coleslaw and then there is an option to choose a side, I chose rice and peas.Order arrived and is missing x2 dumplings & the portion of coleslaw which is clearly states is included in the meal. I call the restaurant only to be argued with and told if you choose a side of rice and peas you don't get dumplings and that it doesnt say its included, its very clearly on the app that it is. Told only coleslaw missing so they won't do anything as it's 'just coleslaw' no apology or acknowledgement, which would have gone along way. Not enough for 2 people with missing items or worth £25! Ended up with not enough food, and the quality wasn't great, rice and peas were very salty! Attitude is disgusting won't bother again.
What a fantastic little find today,
I walked 22 minutes each way . But boy, was it worth it! If you like full flavour, then look no further. This place will not disappoint you! I got the boneless curry goat with rice and peas and salt fish pattie. It was delicious ???? Thank you so much. If I stay in the area again I definitely come back.

What is the point of ordering if they don’t even want to check the bloody order before giving it to us. It’s their job to check the food and then hand it over. RIDICULOUS.

While I couldn't find a detailed description online, reviews mention a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
Now, onto the food! Reviews rave about the jerk pork, and for good reason. The succulent meat is marinated in a blend of fiery spices, resulting in an explosion of flavor in every bite. The oxtail is another star of the show. It's slow-cooked until it becomes melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rich sauce is packed with savory goodness.
I would highly recommend Savannah Caribbean Restaurant & Take Away to anyone looking for a taste of the Caribbean. Just be prepared to be blown away by the jerk pork and oxtail!
A very beautiful place to eat Caribbean food. I ordered Goat curry with rice and salad. Absolutely amazing food. I thought I will never finish it. Very friendly staff always happy to help. With good public transport Clapham North Overground and underground and very good buses services. Right in the heart of Clapham high street.
I do recommend for anyone who loves Caribbean food.
