Brilliant service all staff nice and helpful food excellent and plentiful definitely recommended trying it if you like Italian ???? they even give you a complimentary bread olives and vinegar dip ????
Visited here today for lunch and honestly 10/10, portions were huge, food and service were both brilliant and it was byob for a small corkage, will definitely be back
Food was really hot. Roasting in fact. Freshly made delicious looked lovely too.
Service outstanding. Lassie was run off her feet .
Ticked every box . If I was really looking for a fault my feet were freezing due to a draught. Our choice of seat I think.
Lady who served us was bright and upbeat with everyone. Very nice indeed. Loved it !
First Visit… very impressed! No complaints no faults. Venue, service food and price all excellent. Will definitely be back.
I have rated this restaurant 4* due to it's service. We were greeted by the waitress as we came through the door and shown to our table. We were given the lunch menu, and as we browsed, she returned with bread, dipping oil, and some olives. I am away impressed when you are offered a little welcome nibble. The food and service were very good and at a reasonable price . I would go back the next time I'm at Duntocher.
The food was delicious and very well presented. The service started off really well, however... after 8 o'clock, the service died. After 8.30, we simply felt unwelcome and were not even offered a dessert. The staff were clearly rushing around getting the place sorted for their shift ending at 9pm and forgetting about the customers. If Sams closes at 9pm, then it may be an idea to extend their employees hours to 9.30pm or 10pm so that the service is not impacted in the way we experienced.
If visiting this place, then book early and don't hang around after 8pm..
Due to the death of service, I personally would not return, which is a real shame as the food (minus the dessert) was perfect.
Great wee place staff were on point and attentive even though it was full of customers.. would've been 5 stars but for the mozzarella sticks being to cold and a bit hard to chew and swallow bites..overall a fantastic night out..
Arrived 5 minutes early for a 7:30pm booking, was asked to come back 15 minutes later to allow them time to get the previous table out and cleaned up after.
Fair enough, it happens. However, this is cutting into our hour and a half at the table as they shut at 9.
Waited till 20 to 8 to come back, was told the table was "ready", they just needed to set it up.
Seated at 7:45pm. Ignored until 7:55pm, at which point we left as we'd have only been rushed out the door in just over an hour.
As we got ready to leave, 3 separate staff saw us and did nothing.
As we finally left, one staff member walked slowly towards us, turning back before even speaking to us.
No apology, no nothing.
Terrible experience all round.
