Food is amazing and large portions. Staff so friendly. Clean & Tidy. Only a small car park behind it that is used for other businesses so can be tricky finding a space (especially weekends!) But worth the wait!
Great local cafe, definitely recommend! More variety than other local cafes I’ve been too. Been there for breakfasts and lunches.
Great experience, greeted with smiles, food and coffee was very nice. The look and feel inside was very clean and cosy :) would rightly recommend
I’ve recently moved to this area, popped over to have a milkshake and some pancakes after all the compliments we heard about this place. Wonderful caring staff really friendly and quite funny ???? a must try.. :))
So we purposely looked for a cafe as our usual go to cafe has closed down.
After looking online and reading reviews we settled on going to Rustic cafe .
Now the fried eggs online looked great , fried properly but what I recieved was eggs put on the grill which for me over cooks the bottoms ( the yolks were also hard)
But that we can get over.
The coffee was gd just need bigger mugs as the glasses are like 4 mouthfuls.
The biggest disappointment was stone cold beans and the bubble was cold and should be described as bland mash.
Now I dont expect high end restaurant standard food in a cafe but I do at the minimum expect hot food .
Wow???? Can't say anymore than this word. Top of all the breakfast I had in the UK in the past one year. The staff are so energetic and happy. Welcomes all with a smile and their service was fantastic. Would recommend this place for anyone visiting Watford.
Large portions. Good food and value for money! Staff nice and really clean.
Our first visit. I arrived at 9am with my wife and the cafe itself wasn't busy, there was only 2 other table that were occupied with families of 4 each. We had not been attended at the table by 9:10 so went up to order at the counter even though the server was bringing food out and could have easily taken our order.
Another customer came in after us and got table service pretty much straight away with their food coming out before ours. They got items on their order wrong twice from what we overheard.
My full rustic breakfast then came out at about 9:35, there was a sausage missing and it came out with fries instead of the chips that were advertised on the menu. I asked for toast at this point which hadn't come out yet. My wife's breakfast then came out and we had to ask for toast again. We then started eating and my wife found a hair in her bubble and squeak. We'd had enough at this and hadn't even got through half our breakfast, so decided to pay and leave. They offered to charge us £10 only as a discount so we paid that and left.
Safe to say we won't be coming back.
