Every time we call and pick up, the customer service is wonderful. Everyone there is great and the food is always hot, delicious, and timely. We go there every week and the fish and chips and mushy peas are our favourite. Every time we modify our order or have a dietary restriction, they listen and deliver. There are multiple vegetarian options available. I regularly get the veggie burger as well and it's delightful. We appreciate everyone at Ruby's. Definitely recommend!!
We share a fish and chips, and it is more than enough for the 2 of us . Very good portion size too. Awarded best chippy in England in 2023
There are many like me who may recall what proper fish and chips tasted like when thy were younger.
I am delighted to say with hesitation that Rubys produce fish and chips worthy of every accolade of this and previous generations.
I have to travel from the next village each Friday to collect but it’s a journey worth making.
The cod is cooked to perfection, good size , white as snow and the batter light and golden.
The chips golden with a generous amount to dull most appetites.
The staff are drilled to military precision, courteous, friendly and efficient!
Lovely fish and chips, great quality for the lunch special and value for money. Didn't eat the mushy peas as they looked very luminous green, something is obviously added to enhance colour. Scored 1 for atmosphere as it's take out only, however it is a very clean establishment.

Sorry Ruby's, you took 35 minutes for 3 bags of chips, a battered sausage, nuggets, a pineapple fritter and some curry sauce. After waiting for an eternity seeing people who ordered after me leave well before me, I then find the sausage is barely battered, the curry sauce was like water and most of the chips weren't fully cooked. I'd have been better driving to Sleaford as we normally do. Very poor indeed. Not sure what the awards are for, but in this experience I cant say you deserve them.
Me and the wife stopped here for Lunch today after a nice ride on the bike in the Fens. Sitting in the sun eating absolutely quality Fish Chips and a side. We chose their fantastic and great value Lunchtime meal deals and we both absolutely though that the quality and freshness of the fish and chips was the best we have ever had for many a year. Bloomin lovely and tasty, crisp lovely batter and very good fish postions. The chips were perfect too. Thank you, we will be back.
We had the Valentine meal deal and it was special. All the food was freshly cooked and tasted amazing. This take away always delivers on quality, cleanliness, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend this chippy, it’s the best in the country, try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is top quality, never had a bad meal in all the time I've been going (which is at least once a week). Highly recommend!!
