Excellent food and excellent service. Also do a range of homemade sauces that are ace!
Portions are plentiful (speaking as an American) and we ended up getting the singles of chicken fillet, haddock, and haggis (not a spelling error), along with the chips and gravy. This is a feast of a fry and we’ll be back here when visiting the Speyside Whisky Trail in the future.
I don't eat fish and chips all that often so when I do I really want it to be worth it. I've never had a disappointing meal from here. The couple who own it are friendly, polite and pretty quick at getting your food cooked. Always tastes fresh.
We have eaten from here a few times and were always happy with the service and quality of the food. That was until a week or so ago on our way home from Elgin when we were really disappointed at the quality of the food. The chips were a bit soggy and the fish wasn't up to the usual standard. It will be a while before we use this chippie again.
First class chips freshly friend and marvellously tasty, freshly fried fish and a crisp yummy batter, thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family in our journey to Fife. Chef makes his own chilli and pineapple sauces as well, definitely recommend.
Hi I was in chip shop tonight on way home to the borders I got fish my wife got a white pudding the chap behind counter was a great lad and friendly. Fish was one of the best I have had and the white pudding and chips were the best thank you next time we are back up this way we will be stopping for our supper George
Second time we had fish n chips from them... excellent and delicious. This time we made a point of driving out for them from Mulbuie. Good full fish... with an extra piece both times... We live in Kinloss. The man has a heart of generosity... Brexit hitting them hard. Get down there get a hearty fish n chips people... save our industries, street businesses, hearts of our towns.
We found this place on our way to canoeing on the river spey, I had fish and chips which were excellent. Crisp golden chips, big chunky fish and very generous portions.
My friends had battered sausage and chips who reported equally as good reviews.
The owner also went out of his way to find us telephone numbers and directions of local campsites when we asked for suggestions.
So good was it in fact, we made a point of calling in on our return journey, this time we all had fish and chips.
Again they didn't disappoint and were greatfully received after three days on the river.
