The food was absolutely divine! Staff very friendly. I was advised before visiting service may be a bit slow as they only have the one chef. In my opinion I thought the service was perfect. Its an evening out, I want to enjoy my food and not feel rushed. Honestly cannot fault roovrays.
Interesting menu with a twist. Make sure you leave some room for desert - they are to die for! Very friendly hostess and lovely atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and my evening. Highly recommended.
I liked the food in general. I found the portion of kebab of Cornish fish very short of fish. The rice was tasty.
The vegetables fine and sweet potatoes very nice.
The beer was good as well
Very good ambient and well decorated with well chosen music.
I gave 2 stars because the price dies not much the quantity of the food (fish) that I paid for. If they were increasing the fish and decreasing the rice, the place would be very worthy.

Stumbled on this gem today and we were very impressed. Accommodated all 8 of us and our small dog. Food was excellent particularly the mussels and the young waiter was extremely helpful and efficient. Hope to go back one day.
We live locally and had not had a good experience on our visits to Roovrays. Last night we had an excellent evening first class food and service. Kieran the new Chef produces great food. We had rib eye,mussels and goats cheese . All delicious and we'll presented.Thank you for a very pleasant evening
Me and my partner came here at the end of summer and were really fortunately given a table (most other places had closed for end of season). The staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome, they were also very helpful when I asked about items on the menu. The food was delicious, some of the best fish dishes I've had. Definitely recommend coming here. :)
Absolutely great to eat at Roovrays once again, after the lockdown.
Lots of new dishes on the menu and we all enjoyed our different choices and highly recommend this restaurant.
Together with the unique welcome Alycia always gives, and the wonderful food, combines to make a really fun and enjoyable experience.
We've already booked a table for when we're back in Mevagissey in August. Can't wait!
