The guy who served us really didn't want to be there, didn't ask if we wanted it in or out but then seemed annoyed when I said I wanted to take out. I've never seen a smaller, sadder or soggier piece of fish in my life for the price. Go off site - Salts is good!
We tried the fish, pie, chicken burger, sausage and chips. We were the first people in at 12 and it was still greasy. The quality of the ingredients was very poor. Not expensive but I would pay more for better.
It was below average. Standard oven chips and two small sausages with watery gravy for £8. Tasted OK actually, but the value for money just isn't there. It could certainly be better and looking at older reviews I think the managers are fully aware of this but it's working out for them financially so they're not too bothered. The picture attached is the full portion I received, you can decide if this portion is good ????♂️ Overall, it would be a 5 out of 10 if I could rate it out of 10.
Agree with reviews saying the person serving looked like he didn't want to be there.
The chips weren't very well cooked, the fish portion soggy and the smallest fish I've seen at a chip shop for a while.
Really bad overall
Took a punt despite the reviews and enjoyed the haddock and chips - freshly cooked and wouldn’t say they were oven chips at all. Nice curry sauce too. It’s Butlin’s after all, not a Michelin star restaurant.
The chips are clearly out of a packet and of low quality and I've had nicer battered fish from Aldi. If you want fish and chips when your at Butlins you'll need to drive off site.
Had fish chips and curry. Was served very quickly by a friendly cashier and they were really nice. I was worried as the review’s ain’t so great but very impressed. Will definitely eat here again! Yum!
Bought a sausage supper here today . Wasn't impressed by the size of the sausage . My thumb was bigger than the sausage . The chips were ok . Would I eat here again . No. Next time burger king.
