Great ride today with Archie the Cool Cavalier. Did 15km on e-bike with trailer in stunning scenery on a bright Spring morning. Rik was fab. Sorted bike and then gave me a brew at the end of the ride. ????????
Rik is a very nice, welcoming and loving person. There are various well maintained bikes, including electric ones! We had a tandem and two ordinary mountain bikes, and enjoyed 2hours cycling around which was not enough! Must visit again.
Rented 2 mountainbikes to explore the trails in the area. Our bikes were great. The owner (and his cute dog) was very friendly and we had a nice chat. He also recommended us excellent routes that were a lot of fun to cycle.
Rik was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He provided me with a nice bike, helmet and map and sent me off with instructions to visit the cafe at Penpont (a very good recommendation, as it turned out). If you fancy a couple of hours on quiet and fairly flat roads, call at Rik's and he'll see you right.
Rik is very knowledgeable about bikes and routes in the surrounding area and is a friendly chap. We hired a mountain bike over two days which was fine for what we needed. No hybrids for rental on the day but no deal breaker. The bike hut is located at the far end of the car park if you come in on the road that is in front of the castle. Thanks Rik!
We have our own bikes but Rik talked us through the local trails and supplied us with a trail map. He then noticed an issue with my bike which he sorted there and then for no charge. Obviously a man who knows his bikes!
Rik is a great guy, so much knowledge and experience.
I visited Drumlanrig to do some of the mountain bike trails and was having issues with the gears on my bike.
Rik adjusted and set them up on the spot whilst I waited, and I was back on the trails in no time.
I've arranged for Rik to carry out some additional work on my bike when I go back in a couple of weeks.
I'm also planning to organise some skills training for my Son and myself over the summer.
