I wasn’t going to leave a bad review but seen the last 2 bad reviews and thought I need to now leave my review.
Rick came to repair my power steering pump and said he would press the pulley back on.£250 and 2 hrs later I started the van and the pulley snapped off again.i did mention a replacement before he started but he said he couldn’t get hold of one that day.
I managed to get one in the day and replaced it myself.he couldn’t even get the belt back on and said I need to tow it to a garage through my insurance.
Absolute treasure of a guy.Fitted a new alternator belt. Low cost, no pressure and such a friendly guy. Went literally out of his way to help me. I would recommend Rick 100%, Couldn't be happier, thanks so much Rick.
Rick's been fantastic on several occasions where I have booked him. I wouldn't use any other mechanic since meeting Rick to be honest, he knows his stuff and never ever had an issue or was I ever over charged.
Booked Rick to do a valve cover gasket @ £150. He didn’t replace the gasket, but claimed to have sealed the leak with gasket maker & promised to replace the gasket if the fix didn’t hold. I was sceptical, but gave the benefit of doubt as I was due to do a 1.5hrs drive later that week. The leak was still present a day later and numerous phonecalls to Rick, followed by numerous promises to repair haven’t materialised. I’ve taken it as an expensive lesson learned. Shame really as he seemed a decent man & shook my hand whilst promising to fix it for free if the sealant didn’t hold.
I’ve since fixed the leak myself and have found zero evidence of a previous attempt to fix. So basically £150 for a load of false promises.
Rick came to repair a leaking break calliper, replace the break calliper and hose still no break pressure then said it was master cylinder replaced that still no pressure at the cost of £520, Had another mechanic come to look who told me that you can only machine bleed the breaks and that's why there was no pressure on the pedal another £210 to sort the job out. Shame really seemed like a decent bloke at the time, but not to be trusted if you don't know much about car repairs
Top class service: Couldn’t find anyone to fix the intermittent fault on my Alfa, tried many garages but they couldn’t fix it, Then I tried Rick,s Mobile mechanic, after a couple of hours my car ran like a new one. Thanks Rick .
Brilliant mechanic, with fantastic prices as well. Very professional and arrived early too. Highly recommended and will be using the services again for my motorhome instead of another garage.
Absolutely brilliant chap, fixed my car not once but twice, fair prices and helped me out in a sticky situation definitely keeping his number for the future 10/10 much appreciated Ricky!
