Stayed on caravan and motorhome site at rear of pub. Facilities excellent all new and very clean. Staff very friendly.
Great service, lovely vibe, proper family feel to the business. Can't do enough for you... Accomodations spot on, food just as good.
Fantastic food and brilliant service.
We played here today at their first Beer and Gin Festival and we had an excellent time. Staff were very friendly and pleasant and the overall pub and grounds (including the marquee we played in) were fantastic. It was clean and tidy and the beer was great. I didn't eat here, but I'm told from band members that it was delicious. There should be more local pubs like this. I look forward to visiting again!!
The pub is set in a lovely part of wales, and looks appealing from the outside. Initially after reading the menu we had high hopes for this place. We rang and booked for a table of 10 and were told this was fine, but we must call our order through in advance of arrival, which we did. On arrival, we were told we would be served for drinks at the table, but after 30 minutes or so, still no drinks order. Our starters were then delivered and we were told that if we needed a drink, it would need to be ordered by the bar, as they can’t do table service. The food was of a very average standard and we had a number of complaints, including the adult size dish delivered for a 4 year old child, with the price to match, sauces for steaks tasting of nothing but cream, vinegar on the table smelling as though it had been there for many years and steaks not cooked as we had asked. The lady who served us tried her best and was polite throughout and our grumbles certainly were not with her. I think this is somewhere best placed for a quiet drink and a more simplified, pub style menu, as it had all the potential to be a hidden gem.
The campsite was small and quiet, well set out and really enjoyed our 3 night stay the downside was free wifi but it was turned off early evening and we went for a drink in the pub around 10 o,clock on Saturday night and it was closed due to not enough trade we were told but still very annoying
Called to look at the menu with a view to booking for a later date. After perusing the menu we decided to eat that very same evening . The staff were all very helpful and found us a table within minutes. The food was excellent and a nice bottle of wine made the evening complete. Definitely worth another visit
2 nights spent in campervan great place ideal for touring area friendly staff
