Excellent service from start to finish from Jonathan.Absolute Gentleman. Highly Recommend
About a year ago I was quoted £600 by Audi to do a diagnosis (my parking sensors were malfunctioning, one of them wasn't working at all). Someone from work recommended John, the mechanic who owns and runs this place, and he charged me a bit over a hundred for the part and changed it right in front of me, 5 minutes job, and he decided not to charge me for labour.
That could've been a ^recruiting tactic^, but let's keep going.
The last job he's done on my car was brake pads, brake discs and bushes replacement. We agreed on a price that involved the parts and the labour (the labour was supposed to cover 4 hours of work) but then he ran into a problem and it actually took him close to 8 hours. I know cause i was there, asking a gazillion questions which he was happy to answer and at the end of the day he was going to charge me for only 4 hours of labour!!
He's honest. And won't charge you for extra stuff that you were not told in advance. Not only that, but the brakes i was getting were bright green, and he didn't mind when i asked him to paint them black.
A few months ago i brought him the car for... something, i can't remember. Whilst i was there i mentioned that i was thinking about bringing the car another day to have my rear sub-frame, under-frame or whatever it's called to have it sanded and painted to stop corrosion, I went for a coffee and by the time i got back he had already painted it. Again, he didn't want to charge me for it, said it was an easy job.
I can't tell how much of that is because I've brought my brother as a client (he has 2 different cars) and my brother has brought another customer to him so you shouldn't expect to have things done for free but this review, which I've waited a whole year to write, is to let everyone know that this guy is honest. He's decent and he looks after your car. No weird noises when you drive away that weren't there before. No surprise charges for things he didn't tell you about, and no problem answering any questions you could have about the work that's being done or any mechanical curiosities you may have.
I definitely recommend to anyone who's sick and tired of endless bills from their garage, or anyone who might be afraid their car is not being looked after properly.
Excellent service from start to finish from Jonathan. Explained the services required and agreed the prices in advance. Collected the car and more than happy to chat about anything needing attention in the future.. More than happy to travel for a quality service..
