They wanted £120 for the repair.
I've used the Quarry Garage for over 20 years and can't compliment the owner, Andy, and his team enough. They've solved problems that my VW, Nissan and Ford main dealers couldn't sort. They are a small family owned and run business ticked away in a Lincolnshire village that I trust implicitly and simply cannot fault for service and price. Be it MOT, regular servicing, electrics or drivetrain repairs, they are up to it.
They know what they're doing and carried out the work quickly. Had an important piece of work done, plus, they were very helpful with a minor piece of work which I couldn't complete myself due to a seized part.
Leaving one star because I had no choice.
This garage has given two MOTS to my car in the space of 87 miles/6 months.
First MOT various advisories.
Second MOT clean bill of health.
Only upon inspection from real professionals, there’s an oil leak on the rocker gasket, the exhaust is leaking and needs replacing and guess what. Every single advisory from the previous MOT is still present.
I don’t know what kind of a kick you get out of scamming people especially in this day and age but quite frankly it’s disgusting! You should be ashamed of yourselves. You’re trusted to give a service. A fairly important service. Some services which could be the difference in life or death yet you think it’s acceptable to conduct business the way you are? Shame on you.
I dare say you probably shouldn’t have the ability to give MOT’s considering your history!
These guys are the most helpful mechanics I have ever encountered. They towed my broken down car for a very reasonable fee, fixed it & MOT’ d it all within 24hrs. To my utter surprise, they even fixed a damaged rear bumper for FREE! True gents!
Rang up about a possible head gasket failure, asked if they could check the car over, immediately got me booked in, once I took my car there on the Monday they checked it over and found the route of the problem, and told me it could be fixed next day, took my car back next day and was completed, car was working brilliantly again and I have now booked in the MOT with them. Friendly, professional and lovely service
Richard did a fantastic job on my car which has gone from shabby to chic! Work was carried out in a timely fashion and to a high standard. Richard was friendly and patient whilst I asked stupid questions.
