The staff are exceptionally friendly. Nice location, service is prompt. Busy days can be a bit of a wait for a table but they do takeaway and the food is really good.
Lovely little off the beaten track diner with delicious food, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.
Reasonable prices, a brilliant and somewhat unexpected varied selection of veggie/vegan dishes, and an absolute feast of cakes to be had.
It was a great place, with a busy atsmosphere, tasty food and lovely staff. It was really packed when we went but we still managed to get a table and our food came relatively fast still. Tasted great and staff were attentive and enthusiastic. Its changed a lot since the original place but it still retains some of the milkbar vibes that make the place so unique, but with a modern twist. I really recommend this place to anyone nearby
My partner, her Mum & I come here every Friday for lunch - we've never been disappointed. The service couldn't be better - all the staff are always friendly. The food has, in my opinion, got even better under the new owners - there's a real freshness to it. We drive about twenty miles to get here - we simply can't find better food - at similar prices - anywhere near home. Can't recommend highly enough.

The Powmill Bar is a great stop off and is popular with bikers, cyclists, families and dog walkers. Dogs are very welcome and dog snacks are available!
There is a great selection of coffee and cakes!
Plus good selection of hot, savoury snacks - I can personally vouch for a haggis roll!
Staff are friendly and welcoming.
It is in a nice setting and there are several picnic tables for use if the weather is good enough.
Went today, when weather wasn’t the best outside typical scottish weather! but inside it was cosy and had been freshly decorated. Halloween decorations were up too which was nice. It took us a while to decide what we wanted from menu as plenty of choice.
Once we decided went up. The two girls were both friendly, approachable and went out there way. Ie one provided cutlery I needed due to having baby and made sure it was right. The service from both girls were friendly and welcoming.
When food arrived it was filling/ great portion size, can’t complain at all about the amount and it tasted good too. Everyone who ordered loved their food, clear plate. I had macaroni cheese and baby approved too. It’s tricky finding foods she’ll eat so this was a bonus!
And if you’re on a diet maybe have a treat day when you come as the cake choice is so good and the meringues are massive!

Doubt will return. The leather comfy seats in dog friendly area are gone. Now there are two high tables and chairs. Useless to use these high chairs and mind your dog, (wondering why this type of table and chairs put in dog friendly area). Hour and a half round trip wasted as now no comfy seats to sit with your dog. Nice food. Same prices as most places ad facilities are ok.
Great place been on the go forever recently revamped amazing food excellent service. A great meeting or stop for local motorcyclists
